The Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam continues to send documents to Vietnamese airlines to consider immediately supplementing capacity on domestic flights from Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City to localities during the April 30 - May 1 holidays.
In the context of some domestic flights from Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City to localities having a booking rate of 90-100% on April 27 and May 1, to meet the demand for air transport during the April 30-May 1 holiday, the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam has sent a document to Vietnamese airlines, based on resources and fleet optimization, to consider immediately adding capacity on flights from Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City to localities on April 27 and from localities to Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City on May 1.
The Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam requests Vietnamese airlines to promptly implement and report any problems (if any) to the authority as soon as possible for guidance and resolution when implementing the additional capacity supply.
Previously, on the occasion of April 30 - May 1, Vietnam Airlines will provide a total of 575,000 seats and 2,900 flights during the peak period from April 26 to May 2, an increase of more than 10% over the same period last year.
The domestic routes with the most increased flights are tourist routes such as between Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City and Da Nang, Hue, Quy Nhon, Nha Trang, Da Lat, Phu Quoc, Con Dao... For the international route network, Vietnam Airlines focuses on increasing capacity to Japan, Korea, China, Thailand, Laos, and Cambodia.
Vietjet Air also said it will add 86,000 seats, equivalent to nearly 425 flights on routes to and from Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi, Da Nang, Nha Trang... during the summer to serve people and tourists. Vietjet Air also focuses resources to increase flights, reduce turnaround time at airports and bring customers good price promotions.
