On January 29, Mr. Le Tri Thanh, Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Nam province, signed Decision 192/QD-UBND approving the addition and adjustment of the list of staff reduction in the first phase of 2024.

Accordingly, the list of cadres and civil servants to be streamlined (supplemented) in the first phase of 2024 with 7 people was approved, including 4 people retiring before the age of 18 and 3 people immediately quitting their jobs.

This list includes Mr. Nguyen Phu (61 years old), Director of the Department of Construction; Tran Thanh Ha (58 years old), former Director of the Department of Natural Resources and Environment; Nguyen Van Van (58 years old), senior specialist, former Deputy Director of the Department of Health and Le Ngoc Tuong (44 years old), senior specialist, former Director of the Department of Foreign Affairs.

Among them, Mr. Nguyen Phu, Mr. Tran Thanh Ha and Mr. Nguyen Van Van submitted their applications for early retirement. Only Mr. Le Ngoc Tuong submitted his resignation.

Mr. Thanh assigned the Department of Home Affairs to inspect, review and take responsibility for the conditions and standards for the 7 cases of staff streamlining (additional) in the first phase of 2024.

The Department of Finance inspects, appraises, and advises the Provincial People's Committee to arrange funds to implement policies and regimes for the subjects of staff streamlining in accordance with current regulations.

Heads of agencies, units, and localities with cadres and civil servants who have their staff downsized shall issue decisions on early retirement and immediate termination of employment for cadres, civil servants, and public employees approved for staff downsizing under their management authority according to regulations.

Previously, at the 33rd session, the Central Inspection Committee decided to discipline Mr. Le Ngoc Tuong and Mr. Nguyen Van Van by expelling them from the Party. It also warned Mr. Nguyen Phu and Mr. Tran Thanh Ha.

According to the conclusion of the Central Inspection Committee, these individuals violated Party regulations and State laws in the work of preventing and fighting the Covid-19 epidemic and receiving citizens returning home to prevent and fight the epidemic; managing and using land for a number of investment projects and implementing projects and bidding packages carried out by Tien Bo International Joint Stock Company (AIC).
