| Linh Ho commune leaders gave money to support housing construction for households affected by natural disasters. |
Timely sharing
Storm No. 10 has caused 11 households in Dong Van commune to lose their homes. The local Party Committee and government promptly grasped the situation, urgently surveyed the extent of damage to each household, and made a list of families whose houses collapsed or were severely damaged to provide support. Special attention was paid to building houses for people, ensuring safe places for them to stabilize their lives. Up to now, of the 11 households that lost their homes in Dong Van commune, 7 have received financial support to start building new houses; of which 3 households received support from socialized sources; 4 households received support from the Fatherland Front 's support budget.
Unable to hide his emotions on the day of starting to rebuild his new house, Mr. Ho A Chuong, Ban Mo village, said: “Storm No. 10 caused heavy rain and landslides, washing away the house, the family's shelter from the sun and rain. Since then, my family has been provided with temporary accommodation by the commune. I am very happy to receive support to build a new house, because without this timely support, I don't know when my family will be able to build a solid house.”
Comrade Nguyen Tien Dung, Secretary of the Dong Van Commune Party Committee, said: Immediately after the storm passed, the commune directed the specialized department to review cases in need of support. At the same time, it called for the cooperation of benefactors. Thanks to that, many new houses were started in a short time. Not only timely in speed, the newly built houses also ensure quality, meeting the "3 hard" criteria so that people can soon settle down. This is not only a simple support activity but also a motivation to help people have more confidence in the future, trust in the companionship of the Party and the State.
Build a house, build the future
The joint efforts of the Party Committee, the government and the donors have contributed to the "miracles" after the flood. Each new brick laid contains the spirit of sharing; from the rubble, new, spacious houses gradually appear, demonstrating the spirit of mutual love. Not only a place to live, it is also a great source of encouragement for people to have more strength to overcome the loss, start to restore production, and soon return to normal life.
Comrade Tran Manh Thang, Chairman of Linh Ho Commune People's Committee, said: Up to now, all 3 households whose houses were swept away by flood in Doi 5 village have stabilized their lives in new houses. This is the result of timely intervention from the Party Committee, the commune government and the support of organizations, unions and the community.
On the day the new houses were completed, laughter filled every corner of the yard. The children had a safe place to live, and the adults felt secure in rebuilding their economy . The houses after the flood were therefore not only shelters, but also symbols of solidarity, kindness and community responsibility. From those warm and affectionate roofs, a new journey began for the households.
