At the 6th session of the 10th term of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Council, on the morning of December 10th, in further discussions with delegates, the Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee, Nguyen Van Duoc, expressed his expectations regarding the proactive and action-oriented working spirit of the city's officials.
The comrade requested that the situation where any issue arises should not be met with a request for opinions or inquiries from various sources. If no response is received, the matter should be left unresolved, and blame should be shifted to others. The comrade urged city officials and civil servants to proactively think, proactively act, know how to act, and dare to take responsibility.
According to him, some cases that do not strictly adhere to procedures are acceptable, but they must absolutely not cause corruption, should not be for personal gain, and must truly be for the common good.
"The law provides general regulations, but each locality, each project, and each case will have its own specific characteristics, requiring flexibility," he said, citing that instead of implementing each step separately, it is possible to do all steps simultaneously. This would benefit businesses, the city, and the country.
Therefore, he requested that city officials and civil servants be proactive and flexible in their approach, serving the people and businesses. Through this, work progress will be accelerated, contributing to economic development, and the people and the country will benefit from these achievements.

In response to the issues raised by delegates and the suggestions of voters, the Chairman of the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City committed that the city would closely adhere to each task, clearly specifying the responsible unit, implementation timeline, and publicly disclosing results for citizens and businesses to monitor. The ultimate goal is to improve the quality of service and build Ho Chi Minh City into a civilized, modern, compassionate, and livable city.

According to him, the city is entering a new phase with many great opportunities, but also many unprecedented challenges. The responsibility of city officials and civil servants is to transform challenges into motivation, potential into concrete achievements, and bring practical benefits to the people.
“More than ever, we clearly feel the immense responsibility that the Party Committee, the government, and the people of the city have entrusted to us. Ho Chi Minh City is and will continue to walk the path of innovation, creation, and development with the will of the entire political system, with the intelligence and strength of more than 14 million people of the city. Every decision issued today will be the foundation for tomorrow's development. Every effort today will create more confidence for the people and the business community,” the comrade expressed.
The Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee affirmed that the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City is committed to acting decisively, effectively, and responsibly; not avoiding responsibility, not delaying, and not allowing local interests to hinder overall development; and taking the satisfaction of citizens and businesses as the highest measure of success.

The head of the Ho Chi Minh City government called on all officials, civil servants, and employees of the city to uphold a spirit of responsibility, discipline, and dedication.
"Let every action, every work result become a concrete commitment to the people. Let's put the interests of the city and the country above all else," the Chairman of the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City expressed, and he believes that with the highest political determination, with the close supervision of the People's Council and the unity of the people, the city will write new chapters for sustainable development - Ho Chi Minh City for the whole country, together with the whole country - a livable city full of aspirations for progress.
