Right in the waiting area for medical check-ups, the hospital has installed two high-powered standing heaters, creating a warm space for patients and their relatives while they wait. This area is often crowded, especially in the mornings when temperatures drop very low.

During the recent cold spell, the number of pediatric patients admitted to the hospital increased significantly. Currently, the Pediatrics Department is treating 23 children, mainly with respiratory illnesses. To ensure the best possible treatment conditions, General Hospital No. 4 has proactively equipped additional heaters in the wards and injection rooms, helping to minimize the impact of the cold air on young children.

Heaters are also prioritized for critically ill and elderly patients. At the same time, departments proactively increase the use of warm blankets and check the door and curtain systems to prevent drafts. Maintaining a warm, draft-free treatment environment helps patients feel more comfortable and contributes to limiting complications caused by harsh weather conditions.

General Hospital No. 4 admitted 187 inpatients. To ensure patient care in warm and safe conditions, the hospital maintained a sufficient supply of warm blankets in each ward and room, ready to distribute them immediately upon patient admission.
All blankets, sheets, pillowcases, and curtains are washed, dried, and treated with antibacterial agents according to the infection control department's procedures, ensuring hygiene and safety and enhancing treatment effectiveness during cold weather.

Along with improvements in facilities, the medical staff at General Hospital No. 4 have also enhanced their spirit and attitude of service, enthusiastically supporting patients during examinations and treatments. Doctors and nurses regularly remind patients to stay warm and proactively advise on appropriate disease prevention methods suitable for the specific weather conditions in the highlands.

General Hospital No. 4 is committed to maintaining measures to protect against the cold throughout the winter season, contributing to the protection of patients' health and improving the quality of medical examination and treatment.
