The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism has just announced a program for visiting the former headquarters of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Council and People's Committee during the National Day holiday on September 2nd and afterwards.

During the National Day holiday on September 2nd, the headquarters of the People's Council and People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City will be open free of charge to visitors, and will then be open regularly according to the previously set plan.

According to Le Truong Hien Hoa, Deputy Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism, opening the national-level architectural and artistic heritage site of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Council and People's Committee headquarters not only introduces a cultural and historical destination but also serves as a direction for developing unique tourism products, contributing to attracting domestic and international tourists to the city named after President Ho Chi Minh.

Accordingly, the headquarters of the People's Council and People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City will open to visitors and will subsequently open regularly on the last two weekends of each month. The program is expected to include five tours from now until the end of 2023.

Specifically, starting with this year's National Day on September 2nd, the headquarters of the People's Council and People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City will open its doors to visitors and will also be open on the last two weekends of each month to serve tourists.

Accordingly, the program to visit the national-level architectural and artistic heritage site of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Council and People's Committee headquarters will be organized in 5 phases until the end of 2023.

Phase 1 was held on National Day, September 2nd, over two days, September 1-2, 2023; Phase 2 on September 30-October 1; Phase 3 on October 28-29; Phase 4 on November 25-26; and Phase 5 on December 30-31.

Each group consists of 30 people and is allowed a maximum of 60 minutes for the tour. During the tour, visitors will be introduced to the history, development, and architectural style of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Council and People's Committee headquarters, as well as learn about its key design features.

Additionally, visitors can tour the international reception rooms and a map of Ho Chi Minh City crafted during the French colonial era; visit the main lobby with a balcony overlooking Nguyen Hue Street/Bach Dang Park; and tour meeting room number 5.

At the end of the tour, visitors can write their impressions if they wish or visit the exhibition area showcasing tourist souvenirs.

The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism advises visitors to register in advance and arrive at the tourist site 15 minutes before their scheduled time to complete security procedures. Visitors must bring their Citizen Identification Card (CCCD) or Passport for verification.

Visitors are prohibited from bringing luggage, bags, backpacks, suitcases, cameras, video cameras, weapons, poisons, prohibited substances, flammable or explosive materials into the tourist area; smoking is prohibited; writing or drawing on the walls of the historical site is prohibited; recording, filming, or live streaming is prohibited in areas not permitted for entry; organizing activities other than sightseeing is not allowed; attire is respectful (no shorts, no sleeveless shirts); wear shoes or sandals with straps…
