This is an annual event organized by the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to commemorate the 78th anniversary of the August Revolution (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2023) and the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2023).

Here, officials, citizens, and tourists can enjoy a cultural program performed by the Provincial Cultural and Film Center, recalling the glorious traditions and history of the nation, praising the glorious Party and the great President Ho Chi Minh, and expressing love for their homeland and country...

The most lively and popular activities at the event were the cultural exchange, performances, and competitions involving pounding sticky rice cakes, throwing the ball, throwing the pa pao, and tug-of-war. The main participants were the Mong and Thai ethnic groups living in Dien Bien Phu City and Dien Bien District. These activities attracted many local people and tourists to enjoy the festivities and experiences.
