T3 is the largest domestic passenger terminal in the country with a capacity of 20 million passengers per year, with a total investment of nearly 11,000 billion VND, invested by Vietnam Airlines Corporation (ACV). T3 is located next to T1, the front of the terminal facing the Tran Quoc Hoan - Cong Hoa connecting road.
The operational terminal will handle domestic flights from Vietnam Airlines and Vietjet Air. Bamboo Airways, Vietravel Airlines, Pacific Airlines and VASCO will still transport passengers to and from Terminal T1.
Terminal T3 is designed with a curved roof, extending from the station to the central garden of the commercial - office complex, inspired by the Vietnamese ao dai, a symbol of grace and elegance.
The station consists of one basement and four floors above ground, with a total floor area of 112,500 m2, with four main items: passenger terminal, multi-storey car park with integrated non-aviation services, overpass system and aircraft parking lot.
The terminal has 25 security checkpoints with glass partitions, 90 traditional check-in counters, 20 bagdrop counters and 42 check-in kiosks. The baggage handling area includes 6 departure islands and 10 arrival islands.
Approaches to Terminal T3
Visitors should note to distinguish the terminal before moving to the airport to avoid arriving at the wrong one. Below are convenient routes to get to Terminal T3.
From T1 terminal, go straight along Truong Son street, then turn onto Phan Thuc Duyen street to get to T3 terminal.
From the center of Ho Chi Minh City, visitors depart from Nam Ky Khoi Nghia Street, continue along Nguyen Van Troi Street, pass Hoang Van Thu Park, then go onto the Tran Quoc Hoan connecting road leading to T3 station.
From the East of Ho Chi Minh City (Thu Duc City area), visitors travel along Pham Van Dong Street, to Truong Son Street, then continue along the connecting route to Tran Quoc Hoan to enter the station.
From the West and South of Ho Chi Minh City (An Suong, Tan Ky Tan Quy, Tan Phu, Binh Tan, Binh Chanh districts), visitors travel along Cong Hoa street, then enter the connecting route of Tran Quoc Hoan to reach T3 station.
From Truong Chinh Street, visitors go to Cong Hoa Street, then turn onto Hoang Hoa Tham Street extension or turn onto 18E Street to approach the station.
Means of transport
Visitors can travel to Tan Son Nhat airport terminal T3 by many means.
Tan Son Nhat International Airport currently arranges shuttle buses between terminals, with a frequency of about 20 minutes per trip, helping passengers conveniently move from T1 or T2 to T3.
In addition, passengers can choose technology cars, taxis or public bus routes such as 109, 152, 72-1, 103 to access the station. Of which, route 109 is one of the popular options, stopping near the T3 terminal area.
Visitors using personal vehicles can park their vehicles at the airport parking lot, near terminal T1, and take the shuttle bus to T3.
Other notes
Passengers should follow the airport signs and use ride-hailing apps to choose the correct pick-up and drop-off points corresponding to the departure terminal. For flights departing from Terminal 3, travelers should review the map and terminal diagram in advance to plan a suitable travel route, especially during peak hours.
In case of arriving at the wrong terminal, passengers can contact airport staff for instructions or book a technology car to quickly move to terminal T3.
In addition, you should arrive at the airport at least 2 hours before departure to check in and go through security. Being proactive in updating flight information, check-in gates and travel times will help your journey go smoothly and avoid last-minute problems.
A representative of Tan Son Nhat International Airport said that Terminal T3 is currently in the final stages of completion. From April 17, Terminal T3 of Tan Son Nhat Airport will begin operating its first flight, operated by Vietnam Airlines on the Ho Chi Minh City - Van Don route. The terminal is expected to be put into operation before April 30, on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the country's reunification.
