Over 18 years of operation (2005-2023), the Bac Giang Industrial Promotion and Trade Promotion Center has made significant contributions to the flourishing development of industry and trade in the province.

The Bac Giang Center for Industrial Promotion and Trade Development has made a significant contribution to the flourishing industrial and commercial development of the province.

Perform well in the first six months of the year.

In the first six months of 2023, the Center for Industrial Promotion and Trade Promotion successfully carried out its advisory role, developing documents and plans on industrial promotion, trade promotion, and energy saving activities; industrial promotion; trade promotion; and energy saving.

Regarding industrial promotion activities , in 2023, the Bac Giang Provincial Center for Industrial Promotion and Trade Promotion was assigned by the Minister of Industry and Trade to implement two national industrial promotion projects with a total budget of 2,400 million VND, to support eight enterprises in applying advanced machinery and equipment in production. In the first six months of the year, the center successfully implemented both projects, achieving 50% completion.

The businesses supported by the Center include: Thanh Phat Precision Machinery Co., Ltd., Thuan Phat Automation Joint Stock Company, QHTECH Co., Ltd., Alpha Vina Mechanical and Automation Joint Stock Company, Thong Nhat Service and Trading Joint Stock Company, HERO GREEN Co., Ltd., ADENCO Medicinal Mushroom Co., Ltd., EMOSS Vietnam Food Co., Ltd., etc.

In the provincial industrial promotion plan, from the provincial budget allocated for industrial promotion activities in 2023, amounting to 3,500 million VND, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee approved support for the implementation of 17 projects. As a result, in the first six months of the year, 16 out of 17 approved projects have been implemented.

In particular, during the first half of 2023, the Center implemented trade promotion activities with many innovations in content, form, and coordination. The Center organized and implemented 16 out of 19 activities, achieving 60% of the work completion target.

Specifically, this includes organizing events, conferences, and activities to promote the consumption of lychees and other key agricultural products characteristic of the province. Simultaneously, coordinating with the Tan Yen District People's Committee to organize a conference to promote the consumption of early-season Tan Yen lychees; coordinating with the Luc Ngan District People's Committee to organize a conference to promote the consumption of lychees in both in-person and online formats in Luc Ngan District, and the Luc Ngan lychee export ceremony to the Southern market and the Chinese market in 2023. Organizing the Luc Ngan lychee season tourism program.

To date, the Bac Giang Center for Industrial Promotion and Trade Promotion has signed 34 cooperation agreements with agricultural wholesale markets, e-commerce platforms, supermarket chains, and businesses to sell approximately 110,000 tons of lychees.

Regarding energy saving efforts, in the past six months, the Center has implemented all six projects, achieving 40% of the work completion target, and is expected to complete 100% of the assigned plan for the entire year.

Improving industrial promotion activities

In the final months of the year, the Center aims to continue focusing on implementation and striving to complete 100% of the national industrial promotion plan and the provincial industrial promotion fund utilization plan; and to develop, implement, and complete the project "Strengthening trade promotion activities, advertising, introducing, and expanding the market for OCOP products through fairs and exhibitions; connecting OCOP product trade with the tourism market".

Simultaneously, the Center will participate in trade networking conferences, supply and demand connection events, trade fairs and exhibitions… It will continue to focus on implementing and striving to complete 100% of the Plan for the Program on Energy Saving and Efficiency in Bac Giang province in 2023 and complete the bidding package “Implementing activities on energy saving and efficiency, supporting businesses in implementing energy saving solutions in Bac Giang province”.

According to the Bac Giang Provincial Center for Industrial Promotion and Trade Development, the budget allocated for industrial promotion activities in the province during the 2021-2023 period reached over 16.6 billion VND. From this funding, 100 production units and establishments received support. A new feature in industrial promotion work during the 2021-2023 period is that support projects are developed by group and industry, instead of individual projects as in the previous period.

For example, Anh Thao Packaging Trading and Manufacturing Co., Ltd. and Hero Green Co., Ltd. received support through group-based technical demonstration models, technology transfer, application of advanced machinery, and scientific and technological advancements.

The relevant agencies are focusing on developing projects to support model groups in agricultural and forestry product processing (primarily refined processing) that have the potential to increase added value and make significant contributions to exports and budget revenue; and model groups applying high technology in mechanical production that can participate deeply in the supporting industries and global supply chains.

During the period 2021-2025, the province will mobilize resources exceeding 300 billion VND (including funding from state support policies and from participating entities) for the industrial promotion program.

As the unit directly implementing and understanding the strengths and weaknesses of industrial promotion activities, the Center will, in the coming time, research the needs of foreign direct investment (FDI) enterprises in the province to focus on providing targeted support for supporting industrial projects, creating linkages between FDI enterprises and domestic enterprises.

In addition, the Center will study and propose revisions to the procedures and documents for applying for support from the industrial promotion fund to make them simpler, easier to implement, and ensure that no budgetary support is lost. At the same time, it will improve the quality of the industrial promotion staff.
