According to the City Social Policy Bank Branch, by mid-July 2025, the total outstanding loan balance entrusted through socio-political organizations was nearly VND 15,635 billion under 20 policy credit programs, with 7,396 savings and loan groups operating in 103 communes and wards. Of which, the Women's Union managed over VND 5,333 billion, with 2,481 savings and loan groups; the Farmers' Association managed over VND 5,022 billion, with 2,360 savings and loan groups; the Veterans' Association managed over VND 3,011 billion, with 1,433 savings and loan groups; the Youth Union managed over VND 2,268 billion, with 1,122 savings and loan groups.

Women's Union members of Thoi Lai commune borrow preferential loans to expand the frog and eel farming model.

In the first 6 months of 2025, the whole city had 16,968 households accessing preferential loans; of which, 9,523 workers were employed, 49 workers went to work in the Japanese and Korean markets, 542 poor, near-poor, and newly escaped-poverty households and 30 production and business households had conditions to develop their family economy and become prosperous.

In recent times, policy credit activities in the city have continuously developed and become increasingly stable, contributing to preventing usury and reducing the rate of poor households and unemployment in the area.

According to Mr. Lang Chanh Hue Thao, Acting Director of the City Social Policy Bank Branch, during the implementation of activities, socio -political organizations have promoted their strengths in propaganda, mobilization, gathering union members, and playing a good role as a bridge in accessing preferential loans; coordinating to implement solutions to consolidate and improve the quality of entrusted activities. In addition, effectively integrating policy credit capital with agricultural, fishery, and industrial promotion programs, transferring science and technology in commodity production, helping union members have jobs and increase their income.

Mr. Phan Van Dung, Qui Thanh 2 area, Thuan Hung ward, was supported by the Farmers' Association with a loan of 80 million VND to process crispy rice with pork floss products, creating jobs for 4 workers. Mr. Dung said: "I process products according to orders from shops and businesses, earning a profit of 300,000 VND per day."

Ms. Nguyen Thi Be Ngoan, Thoi Phuoc A hamlet, Thoi Lai commune, was introduced by the Women's Union of the commune to borrow 70 million VND, improve the land, and plant over 6 hectares of Thai custard apples in 2021. After 18 months, the Thai custard apples bore fruit and were harvested twice a year.

Ms. Ngoan said: “Thanks to the low interest rate, I can easily manage to pay off the debt. Thai custard apple is easy to grow, requires little care, and has a stable selling price. With 6 tons of fruit harvested each year, I have an average income of 60 million VND after deducting expenses.”

Mr. Lang Chanh Hue Thao said that in the coming time, the City Social Policy Bank Branch and socio-political organizations will continue to effectively implement the content of entrusted lending; improve the quality and efficiency of policy credit activities, helping union members stabilize their jobs and incomes.
