Mr. Ton Quang Ngoc was re-elected as Chairman of the Union of Science and Technology Associations of Hong Linh town.

During the 2024-2029 term, the Union of Science and Technology Associations of Hong Linh town ( Ha Tinh province) strives to gather over 90% of intellectuals into its organizations; and each year provide advice and opinions on 1-2 topics related to the socio-economic development of the town.

On the afternoon of January 26th, the Union of Science and Technology Associations of Hong Linh town held its 5th Congress of Delegates for the 2024-2029 term. This was the model congress for the Union of Science and Technology Associations of Ha Tinh province.

Attending the congress were the Chairman of the Union of Science and Technology Associations of the province, Do Khoa Van, representatives from relevant departments and agencies, and 89 delegates representing 1,700 members.

The Union of Science and Technology Associations of Hong Linh town has 19 member associations, with 1,700 members. The members are highly qualified, dedicated, creative, capable of absorbing new science and technology, and actively apply their knowledge of leadership, management, and scientific and technological advancements to practical production and daily life.

During the past term, the Union of Science and Technology Associations of the town has fulfilled its function of providing advice, critical analysis, and social assessment. The Union, its intellectuals, and its members have actively participated in advising, developing, and critically analyzing programs and projects on socio -economic development in the town.

During the term, the Union of Associations paid attention to technical innovation activities and honoring intellectuals. From 2018 to 2023, through various campaigns launched throughout the town, 12 projects and products won national and Northern Region awards; 78 projects and products won provincial awards; many innovative projects and experiences were recognized at the provincial level; and many projects and products were recognized by specialized sectors in all fields.

The application of scientific and technological achievements to production and daily life, along with the widespread implementation of the creative labor emulation movement, has led to the application and replication of many research topics and solutions, contributing to improved efficiency in production and work.

Through the emulation movement for excellent and creative labor in all fields, over 900 projects and initiatives have been applied to production and daily life, contributing to the socio-economic development of the town. Among these, several projects, programs, and scientific research topics have been widely implemented and yielded high efficiency.

Over the past five years, the Union of Associations of the town and its member associations have effectively carried out the work of disseminating and thoroughly explaining the role, position, and tasks of the Union of Associations. Through this, the Party Committee, the government, and mass organizations have gained a deeper understanding of the Union's role. The intellectual community has deeply understood the content of directives and resolutions and has served as the core in disseminating information and inspiring patriotism and creativity in various fields.

The Congress unanimously adopted the Resolution of the 5th Congress of the Union of Science and Technology Associations of Hong Linh Town, term 2024-2029, with the goal of striving to gather over 90% of intellectuals into association organizations; developing programs and plans for annual social consultation, critique, and assessment; and striving to provide consultation and opinions on 1-2 topics related to the socio-economic development of the town each year.

Over 90% of innovative projects and applications of scientific advancements from various sectors are effectively implemented in different areas of life; annually, at least one innovative project or scientific research project achieves provincial-level recognition; and the goal is to have at least one member nominated for a creative labor award during the term...

Chairman of the Provincial Union of Science and Technology Associations Do Khoa Van and Secretary of the Hong Linh Town Party Committee Le Thanh Dong presented the Certificate of Merit from the Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associations to the Hong Linh Town Union of Science and Technology Associations.

Upholding the spirit of democracy, the Congress elected 19 members to the Executive Committee for the 2024-2029 term; Comrade Ton Quang Ngoc was re-elected as Chairman of the Union of Science and Technology Associations of Hong Linh town for the fifth term, 2024-2029.

In recognition of the achievements in 2023, the Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associations awarded a certificate of merit to the Union of Science and Technology Associations of the town.
