The Provincial People's Committee requested that the rat extermination campaign be launched and implemented simultaneously on a large scale from the province to districts, towns, cities, communes, wards, towns, villages, hamlets, to each household... Organize rat extermination from fields to ditches, gutters, dikes, banks, plots, mounds, roadsides, rat extermination from densely populated areas, on the outskirts of cities, towns, near industrial parks to village roads, alleys... Rat extermination must be done with the right technique, ensuring progress and time, and absolute safety for people, livestock, poultry and the environment.

Previously, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development issued Directive No. 1900/CT-BNN-BVTV dated March 15, 2024 on strengthening rat prevention and protection of crop production. The content stated that crops often suffer losses due to rat damage, affecting productivity and output, especially rice. Every year, about 60,000 hectares of rice and many other crop areas are damaged by rats. Although there are few areas that are completely lost, many areas have to be replanted.
