According to the report of the Ministry of Construction , to date, ministries, branches and localities have completed 11/28 assigned tasks. It is expected that by December 19, 2025, the whole country will complete and open to traffic 3,513 km of highways. In addition, in 2025, localities will complete 251 km of coastal roads, bringing the total length of coastal roads put into operation to about 1,701 km.

Regarding the preparation for the groundbreaking and inauguration ceremonies of large-scale projects, meaningful in welcoming the 14th National Congress of the Party, the Ministry of Construction has compiled 245 projects and works in 34 provinces/cities that are eligible to start construction and inaugurate on December 19, 2025.
At the meeting, localities, project management boards, investors and contractors reported on a number of difficulties and problems in site clearance, relocation of technical infrastructure, lack of materials and weather impacts; some projects were delayed due to design adjustments or document completion. The units pledged to focus on resolving these problems, speeding up progress, ensuring quality and construction safety.
Reporting at the meeting, the My Thuan Project Management Board said that the Can Tho - Ca Mau expressway has reached 95% progress; Ca Mau province has handed over 100% of the land with an area of 222.89 hectares.

Ca Mau province is currently implementing many key projects invested by central ministries and branches, including: Expansion and upgrading of Ca Mau Airport; Ca Mau - Dat Mui Expressway; Road to Hon Khoai Island; Hon Khoai Dual-Use Port. Many projects have completed 100% of site clearance work, Ca Mau province continues to strive to hand over all remaining project sites before December 15, 2025.
Speaking at the meeting, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh emphasized: The time from now until December 19, 2025 is very urgent, while the workload is still large. Therefore, ministries, branches, localities, investors and contractors must promote the highest sense of responsibility, work urgently, scientifically, and in accordance with legal regulations to ensure the completion of projects according to plan.
Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh requested a thorough review of all documents and procedures; focusing on immediately removing difficulties, especially those in site clearance, relocation of technical infrastructure, material supply and response to extreme weather. When completed, key transport projects will open up new development space, reduce transportation costs, promote regional connectivity and create convenience for people and businesses.
Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh acknowledged the efforts of investors, contractors, consultants, engineers, workers and the support of the people; at the same time, requested to strengthen supervision, inspection, timely handling of problems, ensuring progress, quality, safety and environment; and thoroughly resolving people's rights.
Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh also requested to prevent and strictly handle negativity and waste and promptly reward collectives and individuals who have made positive contributions to the implementation of important national projects and key works in the transport sector.
