Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan attended the ceremony to celebrate the 60th anniversary of Uncle Ho's visit to Kim Boi district.

NDO - On the evening of October 18th, in Kim Boi district, Hoa Binh province, Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan attended the ceremony commemorating the 60th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's visit and work in Kim Boi district, the 65th anniversary of the establishment of Kim Boi district, and the awarding of the Third-Class Labor Medal.

On September 19, 1964, Kim Boi had the honor and pride of welcoming President Ho Chi Minh to visit and work with the Kim Boi District Party Committee. He kindly reminded them of every aspect of daily life, including living conditions, intensive farming methods, and production techniques to achieve high efficiency.

President Ho Chi Minh's visit and working session with the Kim Boi District Party Committee was not only a source of encouragement and valuable guidance for the district's officials, but also a source of pride and motivation for all the people of the district.

Imbued with President Ho Chi Minh's teachings, cadres and people of all ethnic groups in the district have strived to overcome difficulties, boost production, be ready to fight, maintain security, and resolutely fulfill their duty as a solid rear base for the great southern front; successfully achieving the political goals and tasks of the locality; and achieving many great accomplishments in all aspects.

Kim Boi District was established according to Decree No. 153 of the Prime Minister issued on April 17, 1959, with 22 initial communes; on December 17, 2019, the Standing Committee of the National Assembly issued Resolution No. 830, comprising 1 town and 27 communes.

Kim Boi is one of the cradles of Hoa Binh culture, with its ancient name being Muong Dong - one of the four famous Muong regions of the province (Muong Bi, Muong Vang, Muong Thang, Muong Dong).

The history of Kim Boi is closely linked to the history of the nation's liberation struggle. Particularly significant is the event of May 11, 1947, when the Nat Son Party Branch – the first Party branch of Kim Boi district – was established.

From here, the Party cell led the revolutionary movement to develop strongly in many other communes, building Kim Boi district into a solid revolutionary base area.

Kim Boi was also the location of the first Hoa Binh Provincial Party Congress (held from May 21 to 25, 1948 at Dinh Lap - Lap hamlet, Lap Chieng commune, now Lap hamlet, Kim Lap commune).

The past 65 years have been a journey of arduous struggle and sacrifice for the Party Committee and people of Kim Boi district: bravely fighting against foreign invaders and reactionary agents of colonialism and feudalism; battling harsh natural conditions to rise up, achieving great accomplishments and brilliant victories, contributing to the overall success and strong development of Hoa Binh province.

At the ceremony, Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan, on behalf of the Party, State, and Government, extended congratulations and shared joy with the Party Committee and people of Kim Boi district on the significant achievements made over the past 65 years, which are truly commendable; these are the shared results of generations of leaders, officials, Party members, armed forces, and people throughout the district who have overcome all difficulties and challenges, working together with determination and perseverance to build a more developed Kim Boi district.

The road ahead presents Kim Boi with many development opportunities, but also many new difficulties and challenges. With its favorable geographical location, serving as a gateway to Hanoi, the delta provinces, and the mountainous provinces of the Northwest, along with the attention of the State and the investment in large projects, Kim Boi will have many advantages to achieve breakthroughs in economic and social development; at the same time, it will also create significant pressure on environmental protection and the preservation of ethnic cultural identity…

To achieve this, Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan suggested that Party committees, government agencies, and people of all ethnic groups in Kim Boi district continue to uphold revolutionary traditions and the achievements of the past, and effectively carry out several tasks: Continuously study and follow the ideology, ethics, and style of Ho Chi Minh; and integrate this with Party building and the construction of a clean and strong political system...

Effectively implement district and commune/township planning as a basis for construction management, attracting investment, and promoting socio-economic development. Focus on effectively exploiting the district's existing potential and strengths in tourism and sustainable, high-quality agricultural production; based on the mechanisms and policies issued by the Party and State, combine and integrate resources to invest in socio-economic development; effectively implement the National Target Program on socio-economic development of ethnic minority and mountainous areas for the period 2021-2030; accelerate and improve the quality of new rural construction and sustainable poverty reduction.

Directing and effectively implementing key projects in the area such as: the Hoa Binh-Hanoi regional road project; the high-end ecological urban complex, entertainment and recreation area project and cable car system in Kim Boi and Cuoi Ha communes; and the road project connecting National Highway 6 to Du Sang commune, aiming to open new doors in exploiting the potential and strengths of the district, especially effectively exploiting the Kim Boi "mineral water mine", creating space for tourism development and increasing economic growth.

Preserving and promoting the cultural and ethnic identity, especially the culture of the Muong ethnic group, aims to create a unique, outstanding, and distinctive character for Kim Boi in the eyes of friends near and far and tourists...

The Vice President expressed confidence that the Party Committee, government, and people of all ethnic groups in Kim Boi district will always remember President Ho Chi Minh's teachings and continue to achieve even greater results; constantly striving to ensure that the "Golden Cup" region remains a vast, peaceful, and sustainable revolutionary war zone; becoming a model district that is prosperous, beautiful, civilized, and modern, where the people are increasingly well-off, peaceful, and happy.

Previously, Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan offered incense at Uncle Ho's memorial house and Kim Boi District Party Committee headquarters; presented 42 gifts to poor households, policy beneficiary families, and prestigious people in Song hamlet, Vinh Dong commune, Kim Boi district.
