(Haiphong.gov.vn) – On the afternoon of February 21st, Vice Chairman of the Hai Phong City People's Committee Le Khac Nam visited and presented gifts to outstanding collectives and individuals in the health sector on the occasion of the 69th anniversary of Vietnamese Doctors' Day. Accompanying him were representatives from the City People's Committee Office, the Department of Health, and the Kien An District People's Committee.

The Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee visited and congratulated the staff and doctors of the Kien An District Health Center, a unit organized according to the model of a two-function health center. This includes a hospital block comprising 5 departments and 8 clinical and paraclinical departments; and a preventive health block including the Public Health - Disease Control - Food Safety and Hygiene Department and the Health Stations of 10 wards. In 2023, the Kien An District Health Center was the Head of the Emulation Bloc of Health Centers and was nominated to receive a Certificate of Commendation from the City People's Committee. The unit also successfully implemented and achieved high efficiency in epidemic prevention and control, vaccination, and treatment of COVID-19 in Kien An district. In addition, some professional indicators met or exceeded those of 2022.

Speaking at the unit, the Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee acknowledged the achievements of the Kien An District Health Center in the past period. For 2024, he requested that the staff and doctors continue to improve their professional skills, coordinate with higher-level hospitals to meet the healthcare needs of the people, and work together with the city towards the goal of becoming a regional health center in the coastal area. On this occasion, the Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee wished the staff and employees of the Kien An District Health Center and their families good health and happiness; and wished the District Health Center continued development to meet the increasing healthcare needs of the local people.

City leaders visited and congratulated Associate Professor, Doctor Vu Hai Vinh.

During the trip, city leaders visited and presented gifts to Associate Professor, Doctor Vu Hai Vinh - Head of the Department of Tropical Diseases at the An Dong facility of Viet Tiep Friendship Hospital. Throughout his career, Associate Professor, Doctor Vu Hai Vinh has consistently performed his assigned duties well. Particularly in the fight against epidemics, in recent years, as Head of the Department of Tropical Diseases at the An Dong facility, a unit tasked with being on the front lines of the city's epidemic control efforts; with the attention and guidance of the Department of Health and the Hospital's leadership, Associate Professor, Doctor Vu Hai Vinh and the hospital's staff have participated in epidemic control and successfully completed their tasks: receiving, isolating, and treating over 6,000 COVID-19 patients, many of whom were severe and critical. In 2022, he was recognized by the State Council of Professors as meeting the standards for the title of Associate Professor in Medicine, specializing in Infectious and Tropical Diseases. In 2023, the doctor was awarded the title of "Outstanding Physician" by councils at all levels.

On the occasion of the 69th anniversary of Vietnamese Doctors' Day, the Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee wished Associate Professor, Doctor Vu Hai Vinh continued good health, the continuation of his achievements, further development of his professional skills, and many more contributions to the health sector and the people of the city.
