On the afternoon of February 4, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha and his delegation visited the 200-hectare fabrication site of the Vietnam Oil and Gas Technical Services Corporation ( PTSC ) on oil and gas projects and the supply chain of offshore renewable energy projects (wind power).
Also attending were Mr. Nguyen Hoang Anh - Chairman of the State Capital Management Committee at Enterprises, leaders of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province, and leaders of the Vietnam National Oil and Gas Group.
Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha and the delegation surveyed the entire 200-hectare fabrication yard and listened to an overview of PTSC's oil and gas projects and offshore renewable energy project supply chain.
At the same time, PTSC leaders reported on some work contents, as well as proposed orientations for the development of the Offshore Renewable Energy Industrial Center.
Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha was pleased and highly appreciated the achievements and efforts that the Oil and Gas industry and PTSC have achieved in the past time. The industry has taken pioneering steps and achieved achievements, not only based on resource exploitation, but also exploring key points, relying on human resources to bring out high values and affirm the prestige of the Vietnam Oil and Gas industry on the world map.
According to Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha, boldly stepping into the new energy sector is very correct, especially in the general context of the world undergoing transformation to replace fossil fuels, reduce emissions, greenhouse effects... In the coming time, the Oil and Gas Group needs to have strategies and changes to develop further, although the upcoming journey still has many difficulties.
"Therefore, in addition to focusing on investment, the oil and gas industry must also focus on innovation and modernization in work. At the same time, it is necessary to develop a clear schedule to be able to quickly implement renewable energy projects. The Government will listen and develop a roadmap for the role of the Vietnam Oil and Gas Group to contribute to Vietnam's energy transition process," Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha emphasized.
On this occasion, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha and his delegation visited the most modern and high-rise paint workshop in Southeast Asia; visited the construction site of the 33 offshore wind power base project (Ring crane area). At the same time, he visited the work, encouraged and wished a happy New Year, and gave gifts to workers working on the construction site.
