Regarding the Rach Mieu 2 Bridge Project, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha said: "Rach Mieu 2 Bridge not only solves the traffic problem for the two localities, but also solves a broader problem, which is to promote the economy of the whole region. When there is a bridge or connecting traffic routes, it means that our economy and people will enjoy the benefits that connecting traffic brings. Traffic truly plays a backbone role in economic development."

The operation, maintenance and supervision of these projects need special attention and specific regulations," the Deputy Prime Minister emphasized.

Regarding the issue of management after completion, the Deputy Prime Minister said: "After the bridge projects are completed, they will be handed over to local authorities for management. We need to have a clear process for receiving and operating these projects, and at the same time, we need a professional unit in charge of management and operation to ensure long-term effectiveness."
Regarding the progress of the implementation, the Deputy Prime Minister highly appreciated the fact that the bridge projects are being implemented faster than the original plan and have achieved high progress. Therefore, there should be appropriate reward policies for groups and individuals with outstanding achievements in implementing the projects.

According to the plan, on August 12, 2025, the Council will hold a meeting to inspect the project acceptance work. It is expected that on August 19, 2025, the project will be handed over to Dong Thap and Vinh Long provinces for inauguration and operation, 5 months earlier than the Prime Minister's direction.
