At around 9:00 p.m. on October 28, the Traffic Police and Lam Dong Provincial Police coordinated with local forces to blockade both directions on National Highway 20 (from Xuan Truong Ward - Da Lat connecting to D'ran Commune, Lam Dong) due to a landslide on D'ran Pass that evening.

Specifically, the landslide occurred at the Treo Bridge (in D'ran Pass on National Highway 20, the section connecting Da Lat city center to the old D'ran town). The landslide was at Km262+400 with a lot of rocks and pine trees spilling from the positive slope onto the road. Part of the road surface near the Treo Bridge was also cracked, at risk of collapsing and collapsing onto the negative slope.

Immediately after receiving the information, forces from the Traffic Police Department, Lam Dong Provincial Police coordinated with Xuan Truong Ward - Da Lat and D'ran Commune to approach the scene, deploy traffic regulation and guidance.

Because the road section through the landslide site is not safe, the authorities have been on duty and blocked off traffic from a distance, preventing two-way traffic through the above-mentioned landslide section of National Highway 20; at the same time, guiding vehicles to move from the foot of D'ran Pass in the direction of National Highway 27 to Da Lat via Prenn Pass or Mimosa (and vice versa if vehicles want to go to Da Lat - Phan Rang).

D'ran Pass is a route connecting the center of Da Lat with D'ran town of the old Don Duong district. D'ran Pass is about 10km long, the last section of National Highway 20 to connect to National Highway 27, leading to Phan Rang (old Ninh Thuan ). D'ran Pass has many dangerous curves, with pine forests and slopes on both sides, making it very prone to landslides when heavy rains last for a long time.
