Director of An Giang Department of Tourism Bui Quoc Thai informed that the pearl island is likely to exceed the target of welcoming 7 million visitors in 2025. In the first 8 months of 2025, Phu Quoc Special Zone welcomed more than 6 million visitors, reaching 82.8% of the yearly plan, of which international visitors reached over 1 million. Total tourism revenue reached about 28,274 billion VND, exceeding the yearly plan by 20.3%.

In particular, the preparation for the APEC 2027 Summit Week is a big boost for infrastructure, image promotion, contributing to attracting tourists to Phu Quoc.
