Phu Tho: The 1st Party Congress affirmed the determination to rise to the growth pole of the Capital region.

VTV.vn - After two days of working in solidarity and urgency, the 1st Phu Tho Provincial Party Congress was a great success, opening a new development path for the Homeland.

Historical milestones and new aspirations after the merger

Taking place on September 29 and 30 at the Provincial Culture and Arts House, the 1st Congress of the Phu Tho Provincial Party Committee gathered 500 official delegates, representing more than 257,000 party members of 152 affiliated party organizations, after the merger of the three provinces of Phu Tho, Vinh Phuc and Hoa Binh . The Congress was honored to welcome Comrade Luong Cuong, Politburo member, President of Vietnam to attend and direct.

The first Congress has a great significance: it is a milestone opening a new development period for Phu Tho - the land of the nation's origin. With the spirit of "Solidarity - Democracy - Discipline - Breakthrough - Development", the Congress affirmed the determination to build a clean and strong Party organization and political system; promote the strength of solidarity and cultural traditions of the Ancestral Land; pioneer in innovation, creativity, digital transformation, creating breakthroughs for rapid and sustainable development.

Looking back at the 2020-2025 term, despite many difficulties, the Party Committee and people of all ethnic groups in the province have united and made efforts to achieve many important results. The work of Party building and rectification has been focused on; discipline and order in the political system have been strengthened. The economy has grown quite well, the economic scale has expanded, and the structure has shifted in a positive direction. Culture and society have made much progress; social security has been guaranteed; people's lives have been significantly improved. National defense and security have been maintained; foreign affairs have been expanded. These achievements have become the foundation for entering a new stage of development.

The Congress spent a lot of time discussing and comprehensively evaluating the results of the 5-year implementation of the Congress Resolution for the 2020-2025 term, clarifying the reasons for success, pointing out the limitations and weaknesses that need to be overcome. From there, 5 profound lessons were drawn, which have guiding significance for the next period.

Goal 2030 – 2045: Reaching the growth pole of the Capital region

The Congress has set the goal that by 2030, Phu Tho will become one of the growth poles of the Capital region; a center for industrial development, trade, logistics, tourism, healthcare, and high-quality training; and at the same time become a place to organize cultural events and festivals at national and international levels associated with the nation's roots.

The economy is oriented to develop at a high growth rate, based on the foundation of science and technology, innovation, digital transformation and the driving force from the private economic sector. The infrastructure system is synchronous and modern. Cultural heritage values ​​are preserved and promoted. Society develops harmoniously, the ecological environment is clean, the quality of people's lives is comprehensively improved; People have high income, are civilized and happy. Phu Tho plays a pivotal role in ensuring energy security, national defense, security and regional connectivity.

By 2045, Phu Tho will become a centrally-governed city with modern infrastructure, a prosperous society, advanced culture, rich in identity; a clean and livable ecological environment. People will have a high quality of life and happiness. National defense and security will be maintained, social order and safety will be ensured.

The Congress unanimously approved three strategic breakthroughs and six key tasks for the 2025-2030 term, considering this as the foundation for realizing the vision and strategic goals. At the same time, the Congress listened to the announcement of the Politburo's decisions on appointing the Executive Committee, Standing Committee, Secretary, and Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee for the first term; and announced the decision to allocate the Phu Tho Provincial Party delegation to attend the 14th National Congress of the Party.

Comrade Truong Quoc Huy, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of Ninh Binh Provincial Party Committee, was appointed by the Politburo as Secretary of Phu Tho Provincial Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term.

The 1st Congress of Phu Tho Provincial Party Committee was successful.

In his closing speech at the Congress, Comrade Bui Van Quang, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, emphasized that the success of the Congress not only reflected solidarity, intelligence and responsibility, but also opened a new development path for the Homeland after the unification. He affirmed the determination of the entire Party, government and people to quickly put the Congress Resolution into practice, creating clear and practical changes in all areas.

The 1st Congress of the Phu Tho Provincial Party Committee, term 2025 - 2030, has ended with new confidence, enthusiasm and expectations. This is not only a historical milestone for the land of the Hung Kings, but also a strong affirmation of the aspiration to rise up and become worthy of becoming a dynamic and sustainable growth pole of the Capital region in the new period.
