Phu Tho leads the country in the growth index of processing and manufacturing industry.

In the first 11 months of 2024, the industrial production index of the whole country is estimated to increase by 8.4% over the same period last year, in which Phu Tho leads the country in the growth index of the processing and manufacturing industry.

According to the report on the socio -economic situation in November and the first 11 months of 2024 of the General Statistics Office, industrial production activities in November continued to have a positive trend as businesses were stepping up production to prepare goods to meet year-end consumption needs.

It is estimated that the industrial production index (IIP) in November increased by 2.3% compared to October and by 8.9% compared to November 2023. In particular, compared to the same period last year, the production index of the processing and manufacturing industry increased by 11.2%, the electricity production and distribution industry increased by 5.5%, the water supply, waste and wastewater management and treatment industry increased by 6.7%, and the mining industry decreased by 9.8%.

Among the localities with a high increase in the production index of the processing and manufacturing industry in the first 11 months compared to the same period last year, Phu Tho is the only province that recorded a growth rate of 42.1% and led the localities with an increase in the production index of the processing and manufacturing industry in the first 11 months of 2024. Following them are: Lai Chau with an increase of 39.9%, Bac Giang 28.3%, Quang Nam 20.7%; Thanh Hoa 19.3%.

This shows the efforts of Phu Tho province in effectively applying solutions to promote the processing and manufacturing industry in particular and the province's industrial production industry in general.
