Linh Nam Ward: Donated 10 sets of computers to support residential groups in digital transformation

HNP - On the morning of August 7, the Party Committee - People's Council - People's Committee - Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Linh Nam ward held a conference to launch the campaign "45 days and nights of supporting digital transformation activities in the initial phase of operating the two-level local government model"; donating equipment to community digital transformation teams.

Speaking at the plan's implementation, Vice Chairman of Linh Nam Ward People's Committee Duong Van Hoa said that to support officials, civil servants, units, and people in the ward in improving the effectiveness of IT application and digital transformation, the Linh Nam Ward People's Committee will mobilize IT and telecommunications human resources in the area to readily support officials, civil servants, and people in the process of carrying out administrative procedures and using online public services in the initial phase of operating the two-tiered local government model.

In addition, the ward also deploys "Mobile Digital Literacy Centers" in residential areas according to the actual conditions and needs of each residential area; arranges equipment, personnel, and technical infrastructure to support connection and operation; prioritizes supporting the elderly, people with disabilities, near-poor households, and vulnerable groups to access and use online public services as conveniently as possible.

Accordingly, 100% of members of the Community Digital Transformation Team in residential groups are trained to use digital platforms to serve people; 100% of cadres, civil servants and public employees at the Ward People's Committee participate in training courses to improve basic digital knowledge and skills...

Speaking in support of the campaign, Mr. Nguyen Van Huy, Secretary of the Party Cell of Residential Groups 20, 21, and 22, stated that the "45-day campaign to support digital transformation activities in the initial phase of operating the two-tiered local government model" is a golden opportunity for residential groups to build a civilized and modern community. The success of the campaign depends not only on the government, but also on the joint efforts and participation of each residential group, each household, and each individual.

Speaking at the Conference, Party Secretary and Chairman of the People's Council of Linh Nam Ward, Do Thanh Tung, affirmed that digital transformation is "a matter of survival" in the current period and must originate from the core cadres: ward People's Committee cadres, Party cell secretaries, Fatherland Front cadres, and residential group leaders to spread to each citizen. "Difficulties in facilities and human resources can be gradually overcome, but it is certain that the awareness of cadres, core forces, and people must immediately change about the importance and inevitable requirement of digital transformation", Comrade Do Thanh Tung emphasized and said: The ward Party Committee will focus on building a key, full-term program on innovation, digital transformation, and green transformation to deploy throughout the area.

Comrade Do Thanh Tung suggested that the People's Committee of the ward should focus on effectively implementing the City's directives, including strong communication with creative and innovative approaches. At the same time, they should research and implement a monthly evaluation and ranking of civil servants regarding digital transformation as a criterion for annual emulation rankings.

Ward Party Secretary Do Thanh Tung hopes that after this conference, with the roles and responsibilities of civil servants and party members of the two agencies, they will continue to support and closely follow residential areas to widely deploy the work of "Digital Education for All". Accordingly, the ward aims to popularize "digital education for all people of working age"; establish and effectively operate support channels in the first phase of implementing the model.

Receiving the direction of the Party Secretary, Chairman of the People's Council of Linh Nam Ward Do Thanh Tung, Chairman of the People's Committee of Linh Nam Ward Nguyen Van Duc affirmed that the ward will implement the campaign in a practical manner. Officials and civil servants of relevant departments and offices must develop detailed and specific plans, with inspection, control, and clear assignment of people and tasks; and the officers of residential areas, residential groups, and local police must join in to ensure the campaign achieves positive results.

At the launching ceremony, the Party agencies and the People's Committee of Linh Nam ward presented 10 computers, 10 printers and 10 sets of tables and chairs to 10 community digital transformation teams. All machines and equipment were mobilized from socialized sources. This is a part of the work of the Party agencies and the People's Committee of Linh Nam ward to welcome the success of the 1st Party Congress of the ward, term 2025-2030, practically aiming at the grassroots level, accompanying the people in digital transformation work.
