According to PVU Vice President Nguyen Thanh Tung, in the 2024-2025 school year, PVU teachers and students have overcome many difficulties together to successfully complete the assigned tasks. PVU continues to be steadfast in its mission of training high-quality human resources, linking training - research - production practices, contributing to the sustainable development of Vietnam's industry - energy sector.

The 2024-2025 school year ended with many important milestones, affirming PVU's position as a training institution for high-quality human resources for the national oil, gas and energy industry. The school achieved the results of the educational institution quality assessment with a score of 4.52, ranking 2nd out of 201 evaluated universities. Notably, all of PVU's undergraduate training programs have met the ABET International Accreditation standards (USA), providing an "international passport" for students.
On this occasion, the school recognized the graduation of 18 graduate students and 52 new university engineers, of which nearly 8% achieved Excellent - Good and 77% achieved Fair. The quality of training linked to practice is clearly demonstrated when 50% of students of the 10th course had jobs before receiving their diplomas, especially 100% of PVU students had jobs after 6 months of graduation. PVU also maintains a high-quality teaching staff with 69% of lecturers holding PhD degrees and an impressive rate of international scientific publications, averaging 1.2 international articles/lecturer/year.

Entering the 2025-2026 school year, PVU is pleased to welcome 115 new students of the 14th regular and joint courses, along with 15 graduate students. In the new school year, PVU will implement the theme "Innovation - Integration - Sustainable Development", closely following the direction of the Ministry of Education and Training with the theme "Discipline - Creativity - Breakthrough - Development".
In terms of development orientation, the university will continue to take the oil and gas - energy industry as its core, while expanding into new fields following the trend of energy transition and digital transformation. PVU also promotes research and training on hydrogen, LNG, CCUS, renewable energy, contributing to realizing Vietnam's Net Zero commitment by 2050.

At the ceremony, Dr. Phan Minh Quoc Binh congratulated the new masters and new engineers who had just completed their studies at PVU; affirming that the graduation certificates awarded at today's ceremony were a symbol of effort, passion and aspiration to contribute, a process in which students honed their character and personality, learned how to face challenges and found their own values. At the same time, Dr. Phan Minh Quoc Binh advised the new engineers and masters to be ready to embark on a "new journey of creativity, dedication and self-affirmation" and always remember that "success is not only personal glory but also a contribution to the community and the country".

In addition, Dr. Phan Minh Quoc Binh also welcomed new students to PVU - "a second home", where knowledge is closely linked to practice, where aspirations are combined with national pride. At the same time, he committed that PVU is a place with dedicated teachers, united friends and a modern, creative, and humane learning environment, accompanying students throughout their learning journey at PVU.

At the opening ceremony of the new school year, Dr. Dang Van Huan - Deputy Director of the Department of Higher Education acknowledged and praised the achievements of the school in recent years, especially in the last school year. At the same time, he emphasized the role of PVU in promoting the spirit of innovation, affirming that higher education institutions must be the central subject of the national science, technology and innovation ecosystem. Mr. Bui Minh Tien emphasized that PVU has affirmed its position as a center for training high-quality human resources with impressive achievements. On behalf of Petrovietnam's leadership, Board of Directors member Bui Minh Tien expressed his belief and expectation in the generation of PVU students, hoping that they will always maintain the spirit of "fire seekers", study with all their hearts, train with will to become good engineers, responsible citizens, dare to innovate and create. At the same time, he sent his best wishes to PVU on its 15th birthday with many new victories, continuing to affirm its position as the leading center for training, research and transfer of energy technology in the industry and the country.
