District 1: Temporarily not arranging classes for teachers to encourage parents to buy laptops

On the afternoon of September 28, Head of the Department of Education and Training of District 1, Vo Cao Long, said that the Department of Education and Training of District 1 had worked with the leaders of Chuong Duong Primary School (District 1) and the teachers who were reported by parents to have solicited money to buy laptops.

Accordingly, the entire amount of money contributed by parents has been returned to the class's Parents' Representative Committee to properly perform the functions and tasks of the class's Parents' Representative Committee's operating budget.

Along with that, the arrangement of Ms. TPH, homeroom teacher of class 4/3, Chuong Duong Primary School, to teach class has been temporarily suspended while the case is handled.

Chuong Duong Primary School will sign a contract with an outside teacher to ensure that learning activities for class 4/3 continue normally, without interrupting students' learning.

The temporary arrangement of another teacher to teach the class is to stabilize the psychology of students and parents, and at the same time resolve the request to transfer classes of 25/27 parents of students in this class.

At Chuong Duong Primary School (District 1), a teacher recently mobilized funds from the Parents' Association to buy laptops for teachers.

Previously, social networks spread information that a teacher at Chuong Duong Primary School (District 1) proactively asked parents of students in her class to support her with money to buy a laptop.

However, after that, due to many parents' disagreement, the support was stopped. The teacher provided her own laptop but announced that she would not prepare review outlines for students, making many parents upset.

The school representative said that they had disciplined and reminded teachers in the whole school about not mobilizing funds from the class's Parents' Association to equip teachers with teaching equipment, and at the same time, teachers were not allowed to directly manage or use funds from the class's Parents' Association.
