The event aimed to create a cultural space with humanistic significance for children and the people of Hanoi immediately after Typhoon No. 3. Within the framework of the Opening Ceremony, many activities were organized such as lion and dragon dances; the "Brilliant Colors of Tay Ho Mid-Autumn Festival" program; Mid-Autumn Festival gift giving for children; awarding prizes for the "Full Moon Feast" competition; the "Colorful Mid-Autumn Festival 2nd Edition" painting competition; and the "Connecting Love 2024" photo contest....
Representatives from the Tay Ho District People's Committee and other delegates presented 40 gifts to underprivileged children in the district who have achieved excellent academic results.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Chairman of the Tay Ho District People's Committee Nguyen Dinh Khuyen said: "The program is organized with the aim of preserving, conserving, and promoting traditional cultural values, providing children with a fun and educational space during the Mid-Autumn Festival. More importantly, this activity also helps Tay Ho district promote tourism development and showcase its image to visitors."
Within the framework of the program, Tay Ho District and the Vietnam Institute of Ethnic Cultures Research, along with a team of artists and artisans, have created a special space called "Traditional Mid-Autumn Festival Space." This space includes stalls designed with strong Northern Vietnamese cultural elements, closely resembling daily life in Vietnamese villages, such as: village courtyards, waterfronts, starfruit trees, pond banks, bamboo groves, fences, wells, water jars with coconut shell ladles… with unique activities such as: sticky rice cooking, lantern processions and floating lanterns; display of five-fruit trays; traditional flower arranging; enjoying Tay Ho lotus tea and sticky rice dessert; visiting a traditional Mid-Autumn art photo exhibition; guidance on making traditional mooncakes, Mid-Autumn toys, painting papier-mâché masks and traditional masks, making star lanterns, crab lanterns, traditional fish lanterns, making clay figurines, bamboo dragonflies, rotating lanterns, and hanging lanterns on a wishing tree... Admire and participate in lion dance competitions, folk games such as jump rope, tug-of-war, O An Quan (a traditional Vietnamese board game), chess, etc.
The Mid-Autumn Festival cultural space attracted a large number of visitors.
This event features over 100 booths showcasing and promoting typical and representative products from Hanoi 's traditional craft villages; a display area for products from businesses in various provinces and cities; a space for product demonstrations and tourism and cultural promotion; and a space for decorative miniature landscapes, a stage, and an entrance gate combined with check-in areas themed around the Mid-Autumn Festival. The 2024 Mid-Autumn Festival is a meaningful gift organized by the various levels and sectors of Tay Ho district for the children and teenagers in the district, creating motivation and confidence for students to confidently enter the new school year 2024-2025.

The program will run until September 16th at the Creative Culture Space on Trinh Cong Son pedestrian street (Tay Ho).
