Accordingly, Tripadvisor, the world's largest travel information platform, recently announced the list of outstanding restaurants receiving the "Travelers' Choice Award for 2023: Best of the Best Restaurants" in the globally selected Vegetarian/Plant-Based Restaurant category.
In this list, Vietnam has only one restaurant honored at number 10, which is Hum restaurant.
Hum vegetarian restaurant pursues a culinary style that emphasizes "beautiful plant-based cuisine".
According to Tripadvisor, these results are based on quantitative and qualitative data from traveler reviews worldwide. Tripadvisor's awards have seven categories: Fine Dining; Everyday Eats; Hidden Gems; Vegetarian; Family-Friendly; Date Night; and Quick Bites.
Tripadvisor said the results were based on the quality and quantity of traveler reviews on Tripadvisor between June 1, 2022 and May 31, 2023. This year's winning restaurants span six continents, 58 countries/territories, and 478 different destinations, making for a diverse list.
“Each award-winning business has met our rigorous standards for safety and reliability. Less than 1% of Tripadvisor’s 8 million listings have been awarded a “Best of the Best” award, representing the highest level of excellence in the travel industry,” Tripadvisor added.

Speaking with Thanh Nien , a representative of Hum restaurant said that in the context of Vietnam's tourism industry experiencing many fluctuations due to the pandemic as well as current economic difficulties, the honor from international tourists through Tripadvisor is a valuable recognition for the restaurant's team.
“This is a great encouragement in developing and maintaining service quality during challenging times. This is the second time Hum has been honored with the 10th position among the 25 best vegetarian/plant-based restaurants worldwide. The first award was given to Hum in July 2021,” a representative of the restaurant stated.
Previously, this restaurant became one of only two vegetarian restaurants in Vietnam to be honored by the Michelin Guide in the Gourmand Bib category.
