Quang Nam develops 167 party members who are students in the first 6 months of 2024

As of June 30, 2024, the entire province had admitted 987 new party members, achieving 51.95% of the target set in the resolution, exceeding the same period last year by 25%; of which 167 were students.

From 2020 to the present, the province has admitted 361 students (320 high school students and 41 university students) into the Party, accounting for 4.6% of the total number of new Party members developed during this period. Of the total number of new student Party members, 224 are female, accounting for 62% of the total number of students.

According to the analysis, the number of new student party members has been steadily increasing over the years. Specifically, in 2020, 25 students were admitted to the Party; in 2021, 41 students were admitted; in 2022, 45 students were admitted; in 2023, 56 students were admitted; and in the first six months of 2024, 153 students were admitted. Meanwhile, the number of new student party members at universities and colleges is constantly fluctuating and tends to decrease over the years.

The Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee assessed that the results of party member development work in the past period showed the efforts of grassroots Party committees in planning, reviewing, verifying, and preparing dossiers and procedures for admitting new party members.

The quality of newly admitted Party members has improved, especially those with high achievements in academics and in youth union activities. A large proportion of newly admitted Party members are members of the Youth Union; among them, many are Youth Union officials, contributing to enhancing the leadership capacity and fighting strength of Party organizations.

The entire provincial Party Committee has 22 subordinate Party committees, including 18 district, town, and city Party committees and 4 Party committees directly under the Provincial Party Committee, with 1,118 grassroots Party organizations, including 384 grassroots Party committees and 734 grassroots Party branches, 2 departmental Party committees, and 3,352 Party branches directly under grassroots Party committees, with a total of 72,595 Party members.
