Quang Ngai: 9 Dung Quat construction zoning plans covering more than 25,500 hectares

Quang Ngai has completed and announced 9 1/2,000 zoning plans for Dung Quat Economic Zone.

The leader of the Management Board of Dung Quat Economic Zone and Quang Ngai Industrial Parks said that the unit has just held a ceremony to announce and publicize the 1/2,000 scale construction zoning plan of Dung Quat II industrial - urban - service park, with a scale of 1,496 hectares.

It is known that this is the last project out of 9 zoning planning projects within the scope of Dung Quat Economic Zone Management Board and Quang Ngai Industrial Parks assigned by the People's Committee of Quang Ngai province to prepare, submit for appraisal and approval, in order to concretize the project of Adjusting the overall construction planning of Dung Quat Economic Zone to 2045, which has been approved by the Prime Minister .

Accordingly, the 9 projects have a total scale of more than 25,500 hectares, located in the Northeast of Quang Ngai province - in Dung Quat Economic Zone, in the districts of Binh Son, Ly Son and Son Tinh (old). The planning scope is diverse in terrain, including mainland, islands and neighboring sea areas.

Specifically, the sub-zones include: Binh Thanh Industrial - Urban - Service Park (3,391.55 ha), Tinh Phong Urban, Industrial and Service Park (2,481 ha), Southeast Dung Quat Urban and Service Park (7,345 ha), Ly Son Urban Area (1,492 ha), Binh Hoa - Binh Phuoc Industrial Park (2,335 ha), Dong Dung Quat Mixed Service Park (521 ha), Dong Dung Quat Industrial Park (3,731 ha), Tay Bac Dung Quat Urban, Industrial and Service Park (2,793 ha) and Dung Quat II Industrial - Urban - Service Park (1,496 ha).

On February 28, 2023, the Prime Minister signed Decision No. 168/QD-TTg approving the overall adjustment of the Master Plan for construction of Dung Quat Economic Zone, Quang Ngai until 2045, with a scale of more than 45,300 hectares.

Since then, Quang Ngai has urgently organized the establishment of 11 1/2,000 scale construction zoning plans. Of which, the Management Board of Dung Quat Economic Zone and Quang Ngai Industrial Parks were assigned to implement 9 projects within the boundaries. Up to now, 9/9 projects in this economic zone have been completed and announced.

The remaining 1/2,000 scale zoning plan for Chau O urban center and surrounding areas has been approved by the Quang Ngai Provincial People's Council, and the Quang Ngai Provincial People's Committee is approving it according to its authority. And the 1/2,000 scale zoning plan for the Northeast Urban Area of Quang Ngai City is being prepared, submitted for approval and approval.
