Launch of "Wonderella" book series to encourage children to think independently

Author Alicia Vu has just released the Wonderella book series (Crabit Kidbooks and Hanoi Publishing House), promising to bring many stories and practical lessons to children, while helping parents understand their children better.

Before the Wonderella series, author Alicia Vu published Kind Fairy Tales (Hanoi Publishing House, 2022) and Raising Opinionated Children (The Gioi Publishing House, 2023). As a child and family psychologist, her publications focus on children and the relationship between children and parents.

The book series includes 4 volumes: Ella and the new neighbor , Ella and the annoying scientist , Ella and the giant ice cream and Ella and the secret door . Each volume contains a practical lesson in behavior as well as the first social behaviors that children need about friendship, sharing, helping, saying sorry, respecting and getting along.

In Ella and the New Neighbor , the story begins when Ella's family is about to welcome a new member so the whole family moves to a bigger house in the "Anything Can Happen" neighborhood. On the first day, she has a strange encounter with her neighbor. After experiencing conflict, the two girls learn the meaning of a sincere apology.

Ella and the Unpleasant Scholar tells the story of Ella's first day at a new school in the "Anything Goes" neighborhood. She is assigned to sit with a wise scholar named Max. Ella is lively and excited, Max is quiet and careful. How will these two friends with opposite personalities overcome their conflicts and accept each other's differences?

In Ella and the Giant Ice Cream , Ella's family receives an unexpected gift: a giant ice cream! It's their favorite treat, so Ella insists she can eat it all by herself. But this is the "Anything Goes" neighborhood, so the ice cream is very special. What challenges will Ella have to overcome to realize the true meaning of this ice cream?

With Ella and the Secret Door , the author brings the story of Ella and her group of friends in the "Anything Can Happen" neighborhood finding a poem that leads to the door to Wonderland. Finding the door is not easy, opening it is even harder. How will she and her group of friends cooperate to overcome the challenges and complete the mission?

As someone with a lot of experience working with children, author Alicia Vu came up with the idea for the Wonderella book series from many years of observing children and from current and advanced child psychology foundations, the most special of which is the philosophy of independent children.

Knowing the importance of children being confident, independent and capable of thinking for themselves what is right and what is wrong instead of just listening to their parents without really understanding, the Wonderella book series encourages children to think independently through the journey of 5 young characters facing challenges on their own, thereby drawing valuable lessons for themselves without needing help from adults.
