Speaking at the ceremony, Director and Editor-in-Chief of the National Political Publishing House Vu Trong Lam said that historical practice has proven that the support, trust and active participation of the people is the decisive factor in all victories of public security work under the leadership of the Party.

To gain that trust and valuable support, the People's Public Security force always maintains its revolutionary nature, constantly mobilizes, persuades, encourages, and creates favorable conditions for people to actively participate in activities to maintain security and order, increasingly voluntarily and effectively.

Through close attachment to the people, the image of the People's Public Security soldier has become a beautiful symbol in the hearts of the people, a force born from the people, serving the people.

With nearly 300 pages, the book is a rich collection of stories, documents, and authentic and touching images about the silent yet great contributions of the People's Public Security force throughout the history of the revolution, especially in peacetime. From police soldiers in remote areas to soldiers on duty day and night at the front lines of the COVID-19 pandemic, natural disasters, storms and floods... all have been portrayed as vivid images of courage and spirit of serving the people.

Deputy Minister of Public Security Tran Quoc To affirmed that in recent years, under the absolute and direct leadership in all aspects of the Party, the management of the State and the directions of General Secretary To Lam in the work of protecting national security, ensuring social order and safety, implementing the motto "When the people need, when the people are in difficulty, there is the Public Security", the People's Public Security force has achieved many great and groundbreaking achievements, creating a strong impression.

In the coming time, to continue to imbue and effectively implement the motto of action "When people need, when people are in difficulty, there is the Police", Deputy Minister Tran Quoc To suggested that Party committees, leaders and commanders of the police at all levels need to pay attention and have appropriate forms to propagate and disseminate the content and meaning of the book to cadres, soldiers and people.
