Antonio Rudiger is not expected to return until next month, but the former Chelsea star is facing an uncertain future at the Bernabeu.

Rudiger's contract with Real Madrid expires at the end of this season. Sources from Bild indicate that the Madrid club has no intention of offering the German international a new contract.

Currently, Rudiger is one of Real Madrid's highest-paid players (£166,000 per week). Therefore, the club is willing to sell him next summer to reduce the wage bill and invest in new players.

News of the 33-year-old defender's potential departure emerged just months after he had a heated argument with Jude Bellingham during a training session.

According to El Chiringuito, teammates had to separate the two after Rudiger's reckless tackle. Bellingham became enraged, sparking a violent brawl.

To date, Antonio Rudiger has played 151 matches for the Royal team. He made a significant contribution to Real Madrid's Champions League winning campaign in the 2023/24 season.
