The number of banks that have increased deposit interest rates since the beginning of December has risen to 13 after a series of other banks such as KienlongBank, OCB, PGBank, Sacombank,SHB ... joined the trend; NCB continued to raise interest rates for the second time this month.

As a bank that rarely changes its interest rate schedule, PGBank surprised everyone by rising to the top group in terms of deposit interest rates after just one adjustment.

Specifically, interest rates for 1-3 month term savings accounts at PGBank are uniformly listed at 4.75%/year, a very sharp increase of 0.95%-1.35%/year.

This is still not the highest level, as interest rates for 6-month and 9-month terms increased by 1.5%/year and 1.6%/year respectively, and after adjustment, both terms are listed at 6.5%/year.

Interest rates for 12-13 month terms increased by 1.2%/year to 6.6%/year, and for 18-36 month terms increased by 1%/year to 6.7%/year.

Sacombank also joined the trend by recently increasing deposit interest rates for terms from 1 to 36 months, with increases ranging from 0.3% to 0.55% per year.

Sacombank's latest online deposit interest rate chart shows that the interest rate for a 1-month term has increased to 4.6%/year, while the rate for terms of 2-5 months has surged to the ceiling of 4.75%/year.

Interest rates for 6-8 month terms have been increased by banks to 5.3%/year, 9-11 month terms to 5.5%/year, 12-15 month terms to 5.8%/year, and 18-36 month terms have officially reached 6%/year.

SHB also increased interest rates in this round, with an increase of 0.2%-0.4% per year for terms from 1-36 months.

According to the latest online deposit interest rate chart published by SHB, the interest rate for 1-2 month terms is currently 4.2%/year, 3-5 month terms is 4.65%/year, 6-11 month terms is 5.6%/year, 12 month terms is 5.8%/year, 15-18 month terms is 6%/year, 24 month terms is 6.1%/year, and the highest interest rate is 6.2%/year for 36 month terms.

Furthermore, KienlongBank has also just updated its new bank interest rate schedule effective from December 11th. Accordingly, the online savings interest rate for individual customers has increased by 0.1%/year for 6-7 month terms, now listed at 6.4%/year and 6.3%/year for deposits with interest paid at the end of the term.

Online savings interest rates for 12-month terms have also been adjusted upwards by 0.2% per year, to 5.7% per year, effective from today.

Apart from the above terms, KienlongBank maintains the same interest rates for deposits of all other terms.

Meanwhile, NCB Bank has increased interest rates for the second time since the beginning of the month. The bank's latest online savings interest rate chart shows that the interest rate for 6-8 month terms has increased to 6.2%/year, making it one of the few banks listing interest rates above 6%/year for these terms.

With the new interest rates as mentioned above, the interest rate for 6-month term savings has increased by 2.05%/year, the 7-month term by 0.4%/year, and the 8-month term by 0.3%/year.

Similarly, for online savings products, interest rates for 9-11 month term savings have increased by 0.35% per year, now uniformly listed at 6.25% per year.

NCB offers the highest deposit interest rate at 6.3% per year for deposits with terms of 12-36 months, after a sharp increase of 0.4%-0.6% per year.

NCB maintains interest rates for 1-5 month terms at 4.5%-4.75%/year, making it one of the banks that maintains a ceiling interest rate for deposits with terms under 6 months.

OCB Bank also increased interest rates, with a 0.2%/year increase in interest rates for 1-4 month terms and a 0.1%/year increase in interest rates for 5-month terms.

OCB has also sharply increased interest rates for terms of 6-24 months by 0.4%/year, and for 36-month terms by up to 0.5%/year.

OCB lists tiered deposit interest rates: below 100 million VND, from 100 million VND to 500 million VND, and above 500 million VND.

According to the online savings interest rate table with interest paid at the end of the term, applicable to deposit accounts under 100 million VND, the interest rate for a 1-month term is 4.4%/year, for a 2-month term is 4.5%/year, for a 3-4 month term is 4.6%/year, and for a 5-month term is 4.75%/year.

The latest interest rates for savings deposits with terms of 6-11 months have increased to 5.7% per year, while those with terms of 12-15 months are at 5.8% per year.

Notably, the interest rate for 18-month term savings deposits under 100 million VND has increased to 6% per year. Similarly, the rate for 21-month term is 6.1% per year, for 24-month term is 6.2% per year, and for 36-month term is 6.4% per year.

The highest deposit interest rates at OCB are currently listed at 6.6%/year for a 36-month term, 6.4%/year for a 24-month term, 6.3%/year for a 21-month term, 6.2%/year for an 18-month term, and 6%/year for 12-15 month terms, applicable to deposits exceeding 500 million VND.
