Located on the coastal route, the De Gi Bridge, upon its opening, has helped connect the two districts of Phu Cat and Phu My in Binh Dinh province. Not only has it contributed to economic development, but the bridge has also brought people on both sides of the river closer together.
Every Tet holiday, the De Gi bridge becomes even more valuable as it connects people who live far apart. Ly Tuan Anh (36 years old, residing in My Thanh commune, Phu My district) shared that five years ago, he married his wife in Cat Khanh commune, Phu Cat district. Before the bridge was built, he had to go all the way back to Quy Nhon to get to his wife's hometown, a distance of over 25km even though it's only about 2km as the crow flies. This year, he can visit his wife's hometown more often for Tet thanks to the De Gi bridge. Photo: Dung Nhan
