Electricity output in 4 months reached more than 3.07 billion kWh

(GLO)- In the first 4 months of 2025, electricity production in the area is estimated to reach more than 3.07 billion kWh, reaching more than 26% of the plan, up 11.7% over the same period last year.

Accordingly, since the beginning of the year, the production and supply of electricity has been continuously ensured, meeting the daily needs of the people and serving the socio-economic development of the province. The electricity output supplied to the load demand in the area in 4 months is estimated at more than 631 million kWh.

Up to now, the province has invested in construction and put into operation 3,250.69 MW; of which hydropower 2,251.69 MW, solar power 61 MW, wind power 808.4 MW, biomass power 129.6 MW. In addition, the province also has 3,248 rooftop solar power systems with a total capacity of more than 603 MWp. The transmission grid system ensures high transmission capacity between the province's grid and neighboring provinces and the national power system, while ensuring the ability to release capacity of renewable energy projects in the province.

It is expected that in 2025, the electricity output produced in the area will reach 12.89 billion kWh (an increase of 8.25% compared to 2024).
