On the afternoon of July 28, Jung Il Woo arrived at Tan Son Nhat International Airport, Ho Chi Minh City to promote the movie "Mang me di bo." The movie premiered in Vietnam on August 1, with early screenings starting on July 30.
The actor, wearing a blue polo shirt and elegant jeans, will participate in many promotional activities for the film here in the coming days. Information from the distributor CJ said that Jung Il Woo will directly attend the premiere in Ho Chi Minh City, participate in post-screening exchanges (cinetour), and fan meetings for fans.
The actor once had a 10-day trip to Vietnam in 2024. He showed great interest and enjoyment in the local culture and cuisine , so much so that the audience jokingly nicknamed him "Vietnamese son-in-law." This is also the description of Jung Il Woo's role in "Bringing Mom Away."
The film tells the story of the mother-son relationship between Hoan (Tuan Tran), a young street barber, and Mrs. Hanh (Hong Dao), an Alzheimer's patient. When Mrs. Hanh's health condition worsens, the son decides to take his mother to Korea to be cared for by her own family.

In the film, Jung Il Woo plays Jeong Min, Mrs. Hanh's gentle and kind Korean husband. Jeong Min, who has been associated with the most beautiful days of Mrs. Hanh's life, will recreate the inner thoughts and sufferings of a woman who is currently tormented by illness and has become a burden to her son.
Jung Il Woo shared that he was very impressed with “Bring Mom Away,” and after reading the script, he wanted to participate immediately, and also shared that the two countries have many things in common when it comes to family values.
Producer Kim Dae-kuen shared that there were two reasons for choosing Jung Il Woo. One was the actor's convincing acting, and the other was his popularity with Vietnamese audiences.
“For this project, we need faces that not only have acting ability beyond the basic level, but are also recognized in both Korea and Vietnam. By chance, one time Jung Il Woo came to Vietnam, we were extremely surprised to see that many audiences recognized him.
Later, we understood that the sitcom 'Unstoppable High Kick' was extremely popular in Vietnam, which made Jung Il Woo start to pay more attention to the market and audience here. We met actor Jung Il Woo to propose, and he happily agreed to participate in the film."

“There are not many collaborations like this between Vietnam and Korea,” Jung Il Woo shared. “I hope this film will open a new beginning. We really hope to bring a quality film,”
Jung Il Woo was born in 1987 in Seoul, famous for his youthful and sweet image. He is known to audiences at home and abroad through famous series such as “High Kick Through the Roof,” “49 Days,” “Moon Embracing The Sun ,” “Good Job,” etc.
