The Vietnam National Institute of Culture and Arts (Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism) and the People's Committee of Thai Binh province jointly organized the International Scientific Conference "Le Quy Don: Life and Work".

The International Scientific Conference 'Le Quy Don: Life and Work' is a meaningful activity aimed at commemorating the 300th anniversary of the birth of the cultural figure Le Quy Don (1726 - 2026), contributing to the completion of the dossier to be submitted to UNESCO for inscription as a World Cultural Figure.

Nearly 90 papers from domestic and international scientists, drawing from various perspectives, further clarified the role of the cultural figure Le Quy Don in the cause of enlightenment.

Speaking at the event, Mr. Pham Van Nghiem, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Thai Binh province, affirmed: "Completing the dossier to register Le Quy Don as a World Cultural Figure is not only a tribute to his personal contributions, but also affirms the position of Vietnamese culture and intellect on the international stage. This is a great source of pride for the Vietnamese nation."

At the seminar, delegates shared heartfelt and objective opinions, along with a wealth of materials, about the life and career of the renowned cultural figure Le Quy Don.

These discussions and opinions once again affirm the merits, talents, and outstanding contributions of the scholar Le Quy Don to Vietnamese culture, enriching regional and international culture.

According to Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Thi Thu Phuong, Director of the Vietnam National Institute of Culture and Arts, over the past 300 years, the talent and stature of the cultural figure Le Quy Don have been affirmed and have received attention from many scientists and researchers both domestically and internationally, highlighting the need to more widely introduce Le Quy Don's legacy to the world.

With four subcommittees, the presentations at the conference continued to affirm the immense contributions of the cultural figure Le Quy Don in many aspects: thought, culture, education, and science; and affirmed the necessity of protecting and promoting the cultural heritage values ​​associated with his life and career in the current context.

The workshop also served as an opportunity to further strengthen the preservation and promotion of the heritage values ​​left by the cultural figure Le Quy Don, contributing to the socio-economic development of the country in general and Thai Binh province in particular.

Through the example of the renowned cultural figure Le Quy Don, we aim to inspire a spirit of learning and creativity in educating future generations.
