Will complete the dossier to submit to UNESCO to register Le Quy Don as a World Cultural Celebrity

The Vietnam National Institute of Culture and Arts (Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism) and the People's Committee of Thai Binh province jointly organized the International Scientific Conference "Le Quy Don: Life and Career".

The International Scientific Conference 'Le Quy Don: Life and Career' is a meaningful activity towards the 300th anniversary of the birth of cultural celebrity Le Quy Don (1726 - 2026), contributing to completing the dossier submitted to UNESCO to recognize him as a World Cultural Celebrity.

Nearly 90 presentations by domestic and international scientists from many perspectives have further clarified the role of cultural celebrity Le Quy Don in the cause of enlightenment.

Speaking at the event, Mr. Pham Van Nghiem, Vice Chairman of Thai Binh Provincial People's Committee, affirmed: "The completion of the dossier to register Le Quy Don as a World Cultural Celebrity is not only to honor his personal contributions, but also to affirm the position of Vietnamese culture and intelligence in the international arena. This is a great pride of the Vietnamese people."

At the workshop, delegates shared their enthusiastic and objective opinions, along with many rich documents about the life and career of cultural celebrity Le Quy Don.

The presentations and opinions once again affirmed the merits, talents and honored the outstanding contributions of scholar Le Quy Don to Vietnamese culture, contributing to enriching regional and international culture.

According to Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Thi Thu Phuong, Director of the Vietnam National Institute of Culture and Arts, over the past 300 years, the talent and stature of cultural celebrity Le Quy Don have been affirmed and received the attention of many scientists and researchers at home and abroad, at the same time showing the need to more widely introduce Le Quy Don's heritage to the world.

With 4 subcommittees, the presentations at the workshop continued to affirm the great contributions of cultural celebrity Le Quy Don in many aspects: ideology, culture, education and science; affirming the necessity of protecting and promoting the cultural heritage values ​​associated with his life and career in the current context.

The workshop is also an opportunity to further strengthen the work of preserving and promoting the heritage values ​​left by cultural celebrity Le Quy Don, in order to contribute to the socio-economic development of the country in general and Thai Binh province in particular.

Through the example of cultural celebrity Le Quy Don to inspire the spirit of studiousness and creativity to educate future generations.
