On February 17th, representatives from the Hoi An Memories Island (Hoi An City, Quang Nam Province) announced the launch of a new version of the Hoi An Memories live performance show , featuring advanced effects and the application of modern performance technology.
Specifically, the show will feature new, large-scale performance technologies combined with the traditional culture of Hoi An, using a unique artistic language to continue portraying the cultural and historical story of Hoi An and Vietnam.
Based on the 400-year history of Hoi An ancient city, the new version of the "Memories of Hoi An" live show enhances the audience experience. Advanced effects technologies such as giant LED mapping, water fountains combined with fire effects, and more are applied. The stage design is also brought to life more vividly thanks to lighting and 3D imagery combined with special effects of water and fire.
According to representatives of Hoi An Memory Island, the investment in modern performance technology aims to bring something new to tourists. At the same time, the show explores new ways to recreate the cultural and historical beauty of Hoi An ancient town, continuing the new tourism trend – cultural tourism.
The Hoi An Memories live show, which launched in 2018, was once hailed by Reuters as "the most beautiful show in the world " in a 2019 article.
