According to the report "Socio-economic situation in June and the first 6 months of 2025" recently announced by the Ministry of Finance , by the end of June 2025, the number of enterprises entering and re-entering the market reached 152.7 thousand enterprises, 20% higher than the number withdrawing from the market (127.2 thousand enterprises).

In June 2025, 24,400 newly registered enterprises were registered, the highest ever, with a total registered capital of nearly 177 trillion VND, up 60.5% and 21.2% respectively over the same period in 2024.

The number of businesses returning to operation in the same period also reached nearly 14,400, up 91.05%; the number of newly established business households reached over 124,300, up 118.41%. In the first 6 months, the total registered capital added to the economy reached nearly 2.8 million billion VND, up 89.03% over the same period.

Ms. Trinh Thi Huong, Deputy Director of the Department of Private Enterprise and Collective Economy Development (Ministry of Finance) said these results show the initial effectiveness of policies to support businesses, especially the private economic sector.

In the coming time, the Ministry of Finance will continue to closely coordinate with ministries, branches and localities to deploy appropriate solutions, accompany businesses, foster the spirit of entrepreneurship and contribute to building a self-reliant, dynamic and sustainable economy.

Meanwhile, in the field of creative startups and science and technology enterprises, as of June 17, 2025, the whole country had 940 enterprises granted Science and Technology Enterprise Certificates, an increase of 20 enterprises.

Vietnam has also drafted decrees on establishing or participating in establishing enterprises, contributing capital to enterprises to commercialize scientific research results, technology development, and on establishing and organizing the activities of venture capital funds for innovative startups, technology incubation and digital transformation.
