Lam Dong Department of Education and Training surveyed locations to build boarding schools in border communes.

On July 18, the Politburo issued Conclusion 81 on the policy of building schools for border communes.

The Politburo agreed on the policy of investing in the construction of primary and secondary boarding schools in 248 land border communes across the country.

In the immediate future, the pilot investment will complete the construction or renovation of 100 schools by 2025 (no later than the opening of the next school year).

These schools will be models for further widespread implementation, completing the investment goal of building 248 schools in the next 2-3 years.

Lam Dong province has 5 border communes on land including Quang Truc, Tuy Duc, Thuan An, Thuan Hanh and Dak Wil.

The conclusion also stated that this is a key and important task in socio-economic development and implementation of ethnic policies to improve people's knowledge and human resource quality, create a source of cadres from ethnic and local people, improve the material and spiritual life of people in border areas, and contribute to strengthening national defense and security.

Lam Dong province has 5 border communes on the mainland including Quang Truc, Tuy Duc, Thuan An, Thuan Hanh and Dak Wil. Of which, Quang Truc, Tuy Duc and Dak Wil communes have the rate of ethnic minority students from 42-59%.

At the inspection session, the working group of the Department of Education and Training worked with local leaders and inspected a number of proposed locations for school construction.

Based on the actual needs and recommendations of localities, the Working Group will take note and advise the Provincial People's Committee on the plan and investment portfolio for building a primary-secondary boarding school in accordance with the local educational facility planning, in a cost-effective and efficient manner.
