The achievements of the OCOP Program are not only reflected in the number of products achieving OCOP stars exceeding the project's planned target, but also in the number of localities across the province establishing safe and hygienic food stores to introduce and sell products, with a priority on introducing and selling OCOP products (12 stores). Specifically in 2024, the provincial specialized agencies supported 13 businesses with 3- and 4-star OCOP products in designing packaging and labels that fully display information according to the process; supported the printing of 20,500 OCOP product packaging; supported 3 businesses with potential OCOP products in improving their production processes to achieve OCOP stars sooner; and supported 7 businesses and production facilities in applying advanced machinery and equipment to production. In addition, the provincial Department of Agriculture has designed, printed, and installed 11 billboards about OCOP products in 11 districts, towns, and cities throughout the province to raise awareness about the OCOP Program among officials, businesses, and the public; designed and distributed 14,500 leaflets about the OCOP Program to people in the province. It also organized training on environmental knowledge, value chains, circular economy , and trademark protection for 105 OCOP businesses; and supported 16 businesses in registering industrial property rights for their trademarks.

Mr. Nguyen Quang Trung, representative of Tu Thao Soc Trang Export Mushroom Food Processing Company Limited, said that after the company's four products – canned pineapple, straw mushrooms, baby corn, and canned lotus seeds – achieved OCOP 4-star certification, sales increased by more than 30% compared to before. The products are now more widely distributed in the Central and Northern provinces and exports to countries around the world have expanded. Having gained consumer trust, the company has continuously strived to improve and upgrade its technology to achieve even higher quality. In the near future, the company plans to develop and launch several new products for OCOP certification, such as canned rambutan, canned dragon fruit, concentrated soursop, and canned quail eggs.

To ensure that OCOP-certified products from the province are more widely known to consumers both within and outside the province, the provincial Department of Agriculture has produced documentaries about OCOP products on mass media; displayed products at trade promotion fairs, festivals, and conferences both within and outside the province; organized workshops to link the consumption of OCOP products; and listed 185 OCOP products on the e-commerce platform Soctrangtrade.vn and other e-commerce platforms such as Postmart and Voso… to promote and introduce OCOP products to consumers.

Comrade Tran Trong Khiem - Deputy Director of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Soc Trang province, said that to further improve the consumption of OCOP products in the market, the unit will continue to consolidate and upgrade the ranking of OCOP products that have been evaluated and classified; prioritize the development of OCOP products associated with product brands and the development of rural tourism services. Priority will be given to developing products of cooperatives, striving for 24% of OCOP entities to be cooperatives and 14% to be small and medium-sized enterprises. Support will be provided to some OCOP entities to build value chains towards a circular economy and green OCOP associated with stable raw material areas, with priority given to OCOP products that have been evaluated and ranked. Maintain 50-60% of OCOP entities participating in modern sales channels (supermarkets, convenience stores, e-commerce platforms...). Support product development by improving product quality through improved production processes; applying new and modern machinery and technology to production; supporting the issuance of planting area codes; supporting ISO and HACCP certification in product processing. Strengthen trade promotion for OCOP products at trade fairs, e-commerce platforms, etc.
