Exciting cultural and artistic movement among women members

In the communes of Song Ma, Vieng Lan, Chieng Pan... the women's art movement has developed strongly in recent years, with diverse and rich activities. The sound of the Tinh lute, the Then singing, ethnic folk songs or traditional dances have become familiar images along with each weekly activity of the art teams. Many models and clubs have been established, such as the Xoe Dance Club in Song Ma commune; the "Beauty of Pieu Scarf" model in Vieng Lan commune; the "Ancient Thai Culture of Muong Vat" Club in Chieng Pan commune... The art teams and clubs have become community cultural spaces, gathering women who share the same passion, love for culture and art to meet, exchange, show their talents, and enrich their spiritual and cultural life.

Ms. Vi Thi Trang, President of the Women's Union of Song Ma commune, said: The Union has 37 branches, maintains 37 art troupes and 1 sports club. The art troupes are supported in choreography, staging performances imbued with national identity, purchasing costumes, props... The troupes regularly participate in local cultural activities and events, performing for the people on holidays, New Year and important local events.

Participating in art troupes also helps women bond, understand each other, share life experiences, build happy families, and increase production. With many generations participating, the mass art movement also contributes to preserving and maintaining the traditional cultural beauty of the nation.

Ms. Lo Thi Ha, Bo village, Muong Gion commune, shared: I have been a member of the Bo Thai Singing Club for many years. Not only do we practice and perform together, we also meet regularly, share the joys and sorrows in life, encourage and help each other in daily life.

To promote the cultural and artistic movement among members, the Women's Union at all levels in the province organizes many cultural and artistic activities to celebrate major national and local holidays; organizes competitions and art festivals at commune and provincial levels, such as the "Women's Sports and Folk Dance" Contest; "Charming Ao Dai" Contest; "Glory of Vietnamese Women" Art Program... Creating a useful playground and an opportunity for art teams to exchange, learn experiences, and improve performance quality.

Ms. Cam Thi Hong Duyen, President of the Provincial Women's Union, said: Implementing the movement "Each association maintains a form of cultural, artistic, physical training and sports" launched by the Central Committee of the Vietnam Women's Union, the Provincial Women's Union directs the associations, based on actual conditions, to choose appropriate forms, organize regular and effective activities. The whole province currently has about 2,300 women's associations participating in physical training, sports, cultural and artistic activities; of which, more than 110,000 members participate regularly.

It can be seen that the cultural and artistic movement has become a bridge connecting women's union members, creating a healthy living space, improving spiritual life, encouraging women to participate in emulation movements, and improving the quality of union activities at the grassroots level.
