Early establishment of a specialized court at the International Financial Center

The National Assembly Standing Committee highly agreed with the establishment of a specialized court, emphasizing that this is an important institution to help increase investor confidence and is in line with international practices.

This morning (December 3), continuing the 52nd session to review and comment on the draft Law on Specialized Courts at the International Financial Center, the National Assembly Standing Committee acknowledged that the Supreme People's Court has actively prepared the draft Law and is now qualified to submit it to the National Assembly for consideration and decision at the 10th Session according to the simplified procedure.

Agree with the provisions in the draft Law on the establishment of a specialized Court located in Ho Chi Minh City; the organizational structure of the Court includes the Court of First Instance, the Court of Appeal and the supporting apparatus.

According to the National Assembly Standing Committee, this is a very important agency that needs to be established soon to create confidence for foreign investors with a number of unique and outstanding policy mechanisms, but must ensure principles, compliance and conformity with international practices.

The National Assembly Standing Committee also basically approved the major contents of the draft Law, the jurisdiction of the Court, and the language and writing used before the specialized Court.

Also this morning, the National Assembly Standing Committee reviewed and approved the Ordinance amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Ordinance on Environmental Police. It reviewed and approved the appointment of the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam abroad.
