Son La established the Center for Agricultural Extension and Digital Transformation under the Department of Agriculture and Environment

Implementing Plan No. 130/KHBCĐTKNQ18 dated September 21, 2025 of the Steering Committee on summarizing the implementation of Resolution No. 18-NQ/TW of the Government on rearranging public service units, state-owned enterprises, organizations within the state administrative system and related documents, the People's Committee of Son La province has directed relevant departments and branches to develop a project and issue a Decision to establish the Center for Agricultural Extension and Digital Transformation under the Department of Agriculture and Environment in Decision No. 3151/QD-UBND dated December 9, 2025, the Decision takes effect from January 1, 2026.

On the basis of the new establishment, the Center for Agricultural Extension and Digital Transformation is a public service unit under the Department of Agriculture and Environment, with the function of assisting the Director of the Department of Agriculture and Environment in carrying out career activities on agricultural, forestry and fishery extension; guiding, coordinating, urging, inspecting and supporting the commune level in carrying out agricultural extension work; activities of applying information technology and digital transformation; building and deploying digital government; building information systems and databases for the agricultural and environmental sectors; developing, managing, operating and ensuring information security of digital infrastructure, digital platforms and digital applications on agriculture and the environment; Organizing the collection, storage, information, statistics, preservation, provision, exploitation, integration, connection, analysis, processing and publication, sharing of data and information in the fields under the management scope of the sector according to decentralization; Organize and implement public service activities and consulting services in accordance with the provisions of law.

Regarding organization, the Center has a Board of Directors, 05 specialized departments and 04 affiliated breeding farms./.
