During the "Quang Trung Campaign," the 2nd Division undertook the task of helping the people of Dak Lak province rebuild 46 houses destroyed by floods. To date, all 46 houses have had their foundations and walls completed, with 15 houses having their flood-resistant floors poured. The 2nd Division is accelerating the construction progress, working day and night with the spirit of "selfless service to the people," and expects to complete and hand over the houses to the people before January 20, 2026.

However, prolonged rain caused significant obstacles in transporting materials, and at times there was a shortage of construction materials, directly affecting the construction progress. In this situation, the officers and soldiers of the 2nd Division proactively overcame difficulties, organized rotational construction, made maximum use of available materials, and coordinated closely with local authorities to ensure supply and prevent work interruptions.
According to Lieutenant Colonel Le Quan Son, Deputy Chief of Staff of the 2nd Division, there were times when transporting materials was difficult, and some projects lacked supplies, but the unit did not wait for interruptions. We reorganized the work, took advantage of the time to do other tasks, and checked the technical aspects of each item, because everyone understood that this project had long-term significance for the lives of the people.
"Therefore, the officers and soldiers of the 2nd Division are determined that, no matter how difficult, they must not be complacent, and certainly not rush the process for the sake of progress, which would affect the quality of the construction. Each house must meet the technical standards, be sturdy, safe, and truly be a safe and secure place to live for the people," Lieutenant Colonel Le Quan Son emphasized.

Looking at his house now built with an upper floor to withstand floods, Mr. Ca Thanh Hai, from Tan Binh village, Dong Xuan commune (Dak Lak province), was moved: “Thank you so much to the soldiers of the 2nd Division. They worked tirelessly day and night, rain or shine. Many days, it rained heavily, the roads were slippery, and transporting materials was difficult, but they didn't rest. They even came up with the idea of using a conveyor belt to carry materials in, their feet clinging to the road until they bled; they rushed through meals and sleep to build our house. I love and appreciate them so much!”
