Implement multiple solutions simultaneously to create jobs for workers.

From the beginning of 2025 to the present, the Can Tho City Employment Service Center has provided job counseling, policy guidance, and vocational training to nearly 260,000 workers; and referred tens of thousands of workers to jobs both domestically and internationally. This has contributed to job creation and social security in the area.

The labor market is booming.

According to reports from the 2025 Job Fair organized by the City's Employment Service Center, 30 businesses participated, offering over 4,500 vacant positions in various fields: food processing, garment manufacturing, mechanical engineering, nursing, fast food processing, construction engineering, site managers, accountants, marketing staff, pharmaceutical representatives, janitorial staff, operational technicians, factory safety supervisors, etc. Businesses offered salaries ranging from 5-35 million VND per month, depending on the position and the skills of the workers.

According to Mr. Bui Huu Thanh, a recruitment specialist at Lac Ty II Co., Ltd., the company is currently accelerating its production expansion strategy and therefore needs to recruit approximately 1,000 general laborers, along with many office positions, interpreters, planning staff, etc. The company commits to ensuring full insurance benefits; providing 100% lunch support; arranging transportation for workers living far away; providing a housing allowance of 500,000 VND/person/month for employees living more than 35km away; and organizing free health check-ups upon employment.

Businesses conduct interviews and provide recruitment information to candidates at the Job Fair organized by the Can Tho City Employment Service Center.

Ms. Phan Ngoc Bao Tran, Head of Human Resources and Administration at Nam Thai Duong Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd.'s Western Branch, stated: “The company is currently recruiting 10-12 personnel for 3 positions: Sales Manager, Area Supervisor, and Pharmaceutical Sales Representative to support our nationwide market expansion strategy. Recruitment requirements include a university degree or higher, preferably in Pharmacy or Nursing. The Sales Manager position requires a minimum of 2 years of management experience, while the Area Supervisor position requires at least 6 months of market experience. Pharmaceutical Sales Representatives will receive training from the company on products, market strategies, and sales skills. Salary ranges from approximately 10-20 million VND per person per month, depending on the position, plus a percentage of sales commission, along with benefits such as insurance, travel , holiday bonuses, and annual salary increases.”

In December 2025, many businesses and production and trading establishments in Can Tho City needed to recruit a significant number of workers to fulfill orders and expand production and business during the year-end period. Specifically: Ningbo Changya Plastic (Vietnam) Co., Ltd. needed to recruit 1,000 general laborers; Tay Do Garment Joint Stock Company needed to recruit 200 garment workers; Dat Xanh Western Region Services Joint Stock Company needed to recruit 100 sales staff… In general, the recruitment needs focused on general laborers; salaries were negotiated based on ability and experience during the interview; employees were entitled to full social insurance, health insurance, unemployment insurance, annual leave, and holidays as regulated.

Standing alongside workers

From the beginning of 2025 to the present, the Can Tho City Employment Service Center has provided job counseling, employment policy information, and vocational training to nearly 260,000 workers; introduced domestic and international job opportunities to approximately 27,000 workers; and supplied domestic and international labor to over 5,200 people through various channels. The work of sending workers abroad under contract continues to achieve outstanding results, with approximately 2,500 workers going to work in South Korea, Japan, Taiwan (China), and several other countries. Specifically, the City Employment Service Center has sourced and sent nearly 100 workers to South Korea under the EPS Program, about 300 seasonal workers to South Korea, and over 500 workers to Japan and Taiwan (China) through businesses.

To achieve these results, the Center maintains 40 "Job Fairs" at "Job Cafes" every Saturday morning; organizes 22 "Employer Meeting Days" at its headquarters, 4 "Online Job Fairs" in the Mekong Delta region and neighboring provinces and cities, 8 "Job Fairs" at universities and colleges, and 2 "Job Fairs" at the Center itself. In addition, the Center organizes 44 job counseling points at schools and communes/wards; and conducts thematic talks on career orientation for junior high school students…

The Can Tho City Employment Service Center forecasts a positive trend in labor recruitment during the last months of the year, with the demand from businesses continuing to increase, especially during the New Year and Lunar New Year holidays. Accordingly, the Center is strengthening its job counseling and placement activities through diverse and engaging methods; focusing on organizing events such as employer meet-and-greets, job fairs, and job exchange sessions. Simultaneously, it is promoting communication about overseas employment, helping workers easily access complete and accurate information; and encouraging workers to proactively participate in activities organized by the Center, promptly seizing opportunities to find stable and suitable employment.
