With the support and cooperation of the Farmers' Association at all levels in the province, the movement "Farmers competing in excellent production and business, uniting to help each other get rich and sustainably reduce poverty" has created a widespread impact, promoting the dynamism and creativity of farmer members, contributing to the promotion of socio-economic development in the locality.

According to statistics from the Provincial Farmers' Association, Ninh Binh province has approximately 132,800 households registering as outstanding farmers in production and business at various levels each year. Currently, nearly 30,000 farming households in the province have achieved this title. They all share a common trait: a spirit of creativity, a willingness to innovate in economic development, and a proactive approach to seizing opportunities to improve production and business efficiency.
The companionship and support of local Party committees and authorities, especially the Farmers' Association at all levels, is an important source of motivation, giving strength and confidence to farmers to persevere and succeed on the path they have chosen.
After many years working abroad, in 2021, Mr. Tran Van Quang (Phu Cap hamlet, Kim My commune, Kim Son district) decided to return to his hometown and start a business with a mudless eel farming model. This is the first model of its kind in Kim Son district and one of the few mudless eel farming models in the province.
Mr. Quang shared: "Compared to traditional farming methods in mud ponds, mudless eel farming allows for faster weight gain, easier observation of growth and disease development. My family's farm covers more than 3,600 square meters, supplying the market with 150,000 fingerlings and 5 tons of commercial eels annually, generating an income of over 200 million VND per year."
Like many other young people, Quang initially faced numerous difficulties regarding capital and markets. With support from the Farmers' Association at various levels, he secured a 500 million VND loan from the Social Policy Bank, and received assistance in introducing and promoting his products at seminars, trade fairs, and trade promotion programs. This gave him the motivation to invest and expand his business. In 2024, he was recognized by the Provincial Farmers' Association as an outstanding farmer in production and business.
Comrade Nguyen Minh Loc, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial Farmers' Association, said: In the past, the Provincial Farmers' Association has advised the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial People's Council, and the Provincial People's Committee to create favorable conditions in terms of mechanisms, policies, and funding for the Farmers' Association to implement activities supporting the movement; coordinating with the committees of the Central Vietnam Farmers' Association , departments, agencies, and businesses located in the province to organize programs and projects to support farmers, promoting the movement "Farmers competing in excellent production and business, uniting to help each other get rich and sustainably reduce poverty".
As a result, the movement had favorable conditions to develop both in breadth and depth, spreading to many fields: crop cultivation, animal husbandry, aquaculture, handicrafts, services, and in the socio-economic life of rural areas.
The movement has achieved tremendous results, creating motivation and encouragement for members and farmers to enthusiastically compete in labor and production, innovate their thinking and methods, strive to become wealthy, and help poor households escape poverty sustainably, shift the structure of crops, livestock, and seasons, and exploit the potential and strengths of land, labor, and capital to invest in production development. At the same time, it contributes to the effective implementation of the new rural development program, makes a positive contribution to the socio-economic development of the province, builds and strengthens the Association's organization, and enhances the role and position of the Association in the political system and social life.
The movement has produced many members who dare to think and act, determined to explore, test, and expand new plant and animal varieties, contributing to the diversification of production and the development of new industries and services in the rural agricultural economy. The movement has formed many specialized production areas, farm economic models, and models of crops and livestock with high economic efficiency.
Farmers in Ninh Binh are increasingly confident in mastering modern agricultural models with high scientific and technological content. Many models are adopting organic, green, and clean farming practices, cultivating small areas but achieving high yields and value. Many active farmer members are combining agriculture with tourism, transforming their garden-pond-livestock farming models into eco-tourism destinations, attracting tourists and increasing the economic value of their production models.
The effective implementation of the movement "Farmers excelling in production and business, uniting to help each other get rich and sustainably reduce poverty" has created conditions for officials, members, and farmers to participate in local activities, especially the new rural development movement. Farmers' associations at all levels in the province have propagated and mobilized members and farmers to contribute over 114,000 man-days of labor and 19.5 billion VND, contributing to the province's new rural development efforts.
With a spirit of solidarity and mutual support, successful farming households have actively participated in social activities, helping each other in production and business, creating many jobs, increasing income for rural workers, and helping each other to get rich and achieve sustainable poverty reduction. Farmers' associations at all levels in the province have built 276 sustainable poverty reduction models, directly assisting nearly 3,600 poor farming households to rise out of poverty. The results of this movement have contributed significantly to strengthening solidarity among farmers, stabilizing the political situation, maintaining political security, social order and safety, and preventing and combating social evils in rural areas.
The emulation movement fostered cohesion between the Association and its members, contributing to attracting and gathering a large number of farmers into the Association. During the period 2022-2024, 7,718 new members were admitted, bringing the total number of members in the province to 137,325.
The achievements of the "Farmers excelling in production and business, uniting to help each other get rich and sustainably reduce poverty" movement over the past years are an important foundation for the Provincial Farmers' Association to continue innovating and improving the quality and effectiveness of the movement in the future. This includes focusing on promoting vocational training and job support for farmers, linked to successful farmer production and business models; supporting farmers in transferring scientific and technical knowledge, applying high technology and new technologies; promoting coordinated activities to create production and business capital for farmers through state credit sources, national projects and programs to create jobs; building and developing the Farmers' Support Fund; establishing clubs of excellent farmers at the district and commune levels, and clubs of millionaire farmers at the provincial level…
