As soon as the passenger got out of the car, Mr. Pham Van Kheo ( from Hai Phong ) heard the bell ring, announcing the next ride from the app on his phone.
The screen displays information, the customer wants to book a car to move from an apartment building on Vo Nguyen Giap street to To Hieu street, a distance of nearly 3km.

The driver repeatedly refused to accept any reward (Image: Screenshot from video).
After accepting the ride, Mr. Kheo arrived at the pick-up point a few minutes later. When they arrived, a middle-aged Vietnamese couple said they did not need a ride but wanted his help in finding a lost wallet containing money and documents. The wife was an Australian citizen, while the husband was a Canadian citizen.
“About 4 hours ago, the passenger took another bus on the same route from Vo Nguyen Giap Street to To Hieu Street and forgot his wallet on the bus. Coming back from abroad to visit his hometown, he did not know how to contact the driver to find it,” said Mr. Kheo.
It is known that before becoming a taxi driver, he had worked abroad for many years, so he understood that losing documents could cause a lot of trouble and take time to redo. Therefore, Mr. Kheo accepted the offer to help, not thinking about being rewarded by the owner.

He immediately posted the information to a group of drivers in Hai Phong. A few hours later, the driver who had previously transported the Vietnamese expatriate couple contacted him.
"Inside the wallet there was 600 AUD (10.4 million VND) and some other documents. The couple will fly back to Australia in the next few days. If they cannot find the documents, they will not be able to board the plane," Mr. Kheo shared.
On the morning of December 4, he announced the results of finding the wallet to the overseas Vietnamese couple, and drove them to get their property back. On the way back, the wallet owner expressed his gratitude for Mr. Kheo's enthusiastic help.
Before getting off the bus, the wife wanted to thank the kind driver. The male driver refused to accept any money, hoping that the two passengers would support him by calling for a taxi when they needed to travel in Hai Phong.
“When I wasn’t paying attention, my wife left more than 3 million VND in the storage space next to the driver’s seat. When I got home, I found this money. I will use the money for charity, to support those in difficult circumstances,” Mr. Kheo shared.
The video of the incident shared by Mr. Kheo on social media received attention from the community. Most comments praised his willingness to help others in times of trouble.
According to Khéo, he always makes it a point to return phones, wallets, and other belongings that people leave behind in his vehicle, or to find a way to contact them when he finds them.
A young man from Hai Phong once found a bag containing money and gold. Not knowing who the owner was, he waited until the woman returned to find and return all the property.
The male driver said that when passengers forget their belongings and property in a taxi, they should stay calm and contact the operator to coordinate a quick and safe search. If they have the driver's number, they can call back as soon as possible.
