On the morning of August 29, the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development organized a training course to provide in-depth knowledge to officials and entities on exploiting and developing brands and intellectual property for OCOP products in the whole province.

Lawyer Luu Ba Hoi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of AMC Company, presented the role of intellectual property in production and business.

Attending the opening ceremony were leaders of the Departments of Agriculture and Rural Development; Science and Technology; Natural Resources and Environment; Industry and Trade; Health ; Culture and Sports; Department of Tourism; Council for evaluating and classifying OCOP products of districts and cities and more than 100 entities with products achieving 3 stars or more participating in the One Commune One Product Program of Ninh Binh province, phase II, 2024.

Over the years, the One Commune One Product (OCOP) program has continued to spread widely and develop strongly in localities. Standard products have converged local characteristics and traditional culture with the application of science and technology, bringing diversity, richness and quality. By the end of 2023, the whole province has 183 standard products, of which 70 products are 4-star and 113 products are 3-star.

Attending the training, the officials and subjects participating in the One Commune One Product Program were imparted knowledge by experts: Intellectual property and intellectual property protection, the role of intellectual property in production and business of products in general and OCOP products in particular; brand, the role of brand in developing OCOP products. Registering intellectual property for OCOP products abroad.

In particular, subjects will receive knowledge about: Designing and using intellectual property signs in packaging and labels of OCOP products; creating, managing and exploiting intellectual property for OCOP products; the role of the subject's brand and exploiting community values ​​through the use of geographical indications, certification marks and collective marks.

The training took place over two days from August 29 to 30.
