Clearly identifying the role of quality and brand in the development process, in recent years, the People's Committee of Yen Chau commune has actively promoted propaganda and mobilized cooperatives, enterprises and production facilities to apply science and technology in production and processing. Thanks to that, many agricultural products of the commune have been improved in quality and design, ensuring food safety standards and being highly competitive.
At the same time, businesses and cooperatives in Yen Chau commune actively expand their markets by participating in fairs, exhibitions, and promoting products on e-commerce platforms, a suitable direction in the digital age.
Although there have been successes in developing OCOP products with typical local values, creating jobs and increasing income for workers, up to now, the local Party Committee and government of Yen Chau commune have continued to propose many solutions to further develop and improve OCOP products in terms of scale, quality and brand.
Mr. Doan Xuan Ngoc, Chairman of Yen Chau Commune People's Committee, said: "The commune continues to promote and mobilize cooperatives, units and enterprises to improve the quality of existing OCOP products; select and develop new OCOP products. At the same time, continue to pay attention to supporting the development of products based on the application of small and medium-scale preliminary processing and processing technology, in which priority is given to processed and deeply processed products from local specialties and raw materials. Orient OCOP subjects to create differences, increase product value, diversify product sizes and designs to suit consumer tastes and needs."
Dried mango products are popular in the market.
Mr. Nguyen Minh Phuc, owner of a mini supermarket in Long Bien, Hanoi, shared: “I often import some OCOP agricultural products from Yen Chau to sell, these are products that are chosen by many customers. Although produced in a remote area, the design, packaging and quality are all guaranteed, especially Shan Tuyet tea and black garlic, these are best-selling products in our store system”.
Effective exploitation of local raw materials, combined with investment in processing technology and brand building, will be the key to Yen Chau's sustainable development, increasing people's income and contributing to promoting the rural economy.
