With a variety of products from agricultural products, regional specialties, consumer goods, handicrafts, fashion , books and souvenirs, each booth is a story about the land, people, and traditional crafts. It is also an effort to preserve national cultural identity in the new era.

"Touch" regional culture through each product

The highlight of the 2025 Autumn Fair is the booths decorated with regional accents, introducing typical products and traditional craft demonstrations.

Walking around the fair, visitors feel like they are lost in a journey to discover Vietnamese identity. In the northern mountainous region, Dien Bien's booth attracts visitors with its typical products such as shiitake mushrooms, rice noodles, fragrant rice and wild honey. Not far away is Phu Tho's booth, which introduces rice wine, bamboo straws and many Muong ethnic products. Meanwhile, the Central region's booth attracts visitors with the salty taste of fish sauce, sesame crackers and exquisite rattan and bamboo handicrafts and ceramics.

With a bustling crowd of customers coming and going, Ms. Nguyen Thi Bich, owner of the Phu Tho specialty stall, was busy introducing rice wine, straws and rustic gifts from the countryside. She happily shared: "From morning until now, there have been many customers, everyone is curious to try rice wine or learn how to make straws. Some customers even took photos to check in, livestreaming to introduce the products. The atmosphere is very happy, selling goods while promoting the culture of our hometown."

Similarly, in the Northwest region, the booth of Dien Bien Agricultural Production, Processing and Trading Cooperative is always crowded with customers. Mr. Nguyen Van Duc, representative of the cooperative, said: "From the morning, many people came to try Dien Bien's typical products. Among them, rice noodles and shiitake mushrooms are the two best-selling items. Everyone praised the clean, delicious products with a unique flavor. I hope that through this fair, Dien Bien's agricultural product brand will be known more widely, closer to the people of the capital and spread throughout the country."

Not just shopping, but a connecting experience

The appeal of the 2025 Autumn Fair is beyond a simple shopping fair. The organizers have cleverly integrated many lively experiential activities, linking products with local culture.

Visitors are not only introduced to the products but can also try pounding green rice, weaving brocade, tasting rice wine or learning to make tea in the traditional style. This makes the fair an open cultural space, where the people of the capital can truly "touch" the quintessence of the regions. From a shopping session, visitors can live in a space imbued with Vietnamese identity, where each item contains the passion of the craftsman and the story of their homeland.

Many other customers shared the same feeling, they were excited to hear the producer himself introduce the process and origin of the product. Ms. Thu Thuy, a visitor, shared that she bought a package of Shan Tuyet Ha Giang tea because the stall owner told her that the tea was hand-picked from hundreds of years old trees on the top of a high mountain. "I had also seen people picking tea on TV, so I was curious so I wanted to buy some to see what ancient tea would be like," Ms. Thuy said.

Sharing the same opinion, Ms. Nguyen Hong Linh, a tourist from Bac Ninh, commented: "I think this year's fair is not only a place for shopping but also an opportunity for people to better understand Vietnamese culture and people. From simple hometown gifts such as rice wine and shrimp paste, to well-invested OCOP products, all demonstrate the spirit of creativity and national pride."

On the part of the Organizing Committee, the representative said that the goal of the fair is to encourage the consumption of Vietnamese goods, create opportunities for localities to promote products, promote domestic trade and tourism. Activities such as the Autumn Fair not only bring economic benefits but also contribute to preserving traditional cultural values, arousing pride in homeland products.

The first Autumn Fair in 2025 has proven that, amidst the modern urban lifestyle, consumers always look for genuine and sustainable values. The attraction of the fair lies not only in economic connection, but also in emotional and memory connection. The rustic stalls, friendly smiles and the hometown flavor spread in each product are the simple things that attract visitors./.
